You look to be healing very nicely. I hope that left side (you mentioned) will flatten out.. it may just need a little more time?
September 15, 2018
Ty! Yes I hope so...i hate to be picky .. But I would like the scar to look better! How are you doing??
September 15, 2018
I don't think you are being picky at all.. this is a long journey.. and it really is intense! Of course you want things to look right!
September 15, 2018
have you started running again?
September 15, 2018
Yes.. I have been running for about four weeks now. I started lifting heavy weights again this week and I do feel the tension in my stomach doing heavier squats but I guess that’s normal. How about you?
September 15, 2018
Wow.. that is great..have you signed up for any races? My friends keep asking me to join them on races but I make excuses (they are not aware I had surgery)... I started speed walking on treadmill at an incline two weeks ago (after getting tired of just walking outdoors).. just this past week I started jogging (but not running).. My surgeon is adamant about the 3 months (no strenuous exercise)..so I want to be careful. BUT I did try sprint/run intervals on the treads today.. I survived and did better than I thought...weights, I stick to light ones (less than 15lbs max).. I'm still a little paranoid that I will ruin my result so staying away from heavy weights and any ab directed exercise. Like you, I do feel the tension and I sometimes feel sting/pain in my bellybutton after a workout..so I hope I'm not pushing myself too much. Do you still wear your compression garment? I use it on occasion but wonder if it maybe worth investing in a binder for when I work out?
September 18, 2018
I have not been sprinting but I have been doing intermediate jog/slow run. I do still wear my abdominal binder especially with lifting weights. I started lifting heavy weights late last week early this week as it was right at the 12 week mark (three months). I had to do something girl my butt was turning into liquid flab!!
September 18, 2018
Ha.. You are hilarious.. yes, I've been doing (body weight) squats, lunges, hip raises.. whatever it takes so my behind doesn't get any bigger or flatter! I should invest in a binder of some sorts (all I have is the marena compression garment and I don't want to wear that while working out), as I think it will help me when doing planks and heavier weights. Good idea!

Almost 3 months post operative

I am almost 3 months out from my surgery. I just have numbness now in my stomach from my rib cage down to my incision line. The incision line on the left may need revised. Also there seems to be a lot of swelling still around the incision. I noticed it in formfitting dresses my stomach is completely flat but then there’s a small swollen mound Which is obvious in some clothing. I’m hoping this improves. Overall I’m thrilled that I did the surgery. It’s hard to remember what I used to look like. It’s not perfect and to be honest my body was never perfect but it is much closer to where I was before babies!!

We have such similar before and after pics. You look great! It keeps getting better too:) I had swelling for a very long time. When it’s finally gone, it’s so nice to see end results.
September 14, 2018
How long was it before you noticed the swelling went away? Six months? A year?

So I really turned the corner of the pain has totally taken a dive. I now only experience pain if I coughed sneeze or laugh too hard. It is still numb from my belly button down but that is to be expected. My drains have been removed and no fluid collections have re-accumulated. My scar is getting smaller. I still have swelling below my belly button and I will be happy when that finally goes away. Not sure how I feel about my belly button but overall so far I am thrilled!!!!!! I’m so happy I did it and so glad it’s behind me!!!!

Wow!!! Your results are Beautiful!

Love love love!! You look amazing! That scar is night and day from before!! Wow! I still have some discoloration around my scar Etc. your belly button looks great to me but what don’t you like about it? I still have.darker skin pigmentation inside my belly button so I am looking forward to it lightening up but yours looks very healthy and has even skin tone with the rest of your tummy. Your bikini is super cute. Love that floral top!

Thank you ladies! My bellybutton just seems shallow… But I guess it’s OK. I got the bikini from target yesterday! How are you feeling? I know this is hard. You are postop same time as me. And Jeremiah… I know that’s just your username but you have a scheduled surgery isn’t that right?

Yes I do, it is September 26 with Dr Eberbach. I’m very excited and nervous!!! Yes haha!! When I created my account I didn’t realize that would be attached with my posts, I was just trying to use something I would remember as that’s my husbands name! Had I realized it would show on every post I would have picked something different!! Lol!

Your scar has healed so well!!

Feeling great.. still have to wear the compression or else my swelling gets really bad. Super cute bikini..such a good find. As for bb, you can always wait till the 6 month mark and decide if you want a revision. I can't imagine it would be an invasive procedure..probably simple in office, I imagine! Looking good! I will post pics at 6 weeks, hoping the skin color around the scar gets better and part of my scar flattens (the area in the front is still a little puffy)

Hello! I have been looking all over for someone on this site that recently had this procedure done. I am 20 days post op now. I can't believe you had your drain in that long!!! I was still have about 40+ drainage but my PS took it out cuz he didn't want infection to get in. I can really only stand up straight right out of bed. Everytime I sit and get up I hunch over a bit. Not much pain at all. Just one side of my stomach is number and swollen a little. Feels hard and not normal. I would love to keep in touch to follow your recovery. :)
July 25, 2018
Of course! And yes the surgeon told me to leave my training until the output was less than 25 in a 24 hour. I did have to start an anabiotic and I got a little bit of an infection and about week one. I had to have to drain replaced at another site. I saw another plastic surgeon to get the second drain placed because originally I was out of town for my primary surgery. The doctor I saw also told me to stand up straight and that he usually has his patients up straight day number one. So I forced myself to stand up and now I can stand up straight. But hang in there… You are still at a phase where I was having a lot of discomfort and really second-guessing myself for even having the surgery. In about a week or so you’ll start feeling so much better!

Good morning I read all your comments and I am curious to know how you are doing. I had surgery and i been doing bad. Luckily I found an amazing plastic surgeon that was willing to see me and is following up with me about the incisions and open wounds.

Im sorry to hear that. Getting surgery is so stressful and not having an easy recovery is just awful. I am doing so much better. I didnt have a bad experience with Dr Hochstein. I could have flown back to Miami but I chose not too. It is a 2 hour flight

You look fantastic all around! Absolutely beautiful!
