I really could not recommend Dr Pacifico enough

19th December - 4 months and 4 weeks. goodbye swelling!
WORTH IT$12,700
It’s been 144 days since my surgery and i’m at a point where my swelling has drastically reduced to almost none. I still get bloating at night - i don’t think this will ever stop. And i do still get some swelling in the daytime, but only really at the part of my belly just below my belly button. Compared to a few months ago, this swelling is extremely minimal. You can see how much more toned and slim i look in the current photos, and that’s without doing much exercise (yes i’ve been lazy). Very happy with the results and how I’m feeling about my body right now!
My scars are still healing. I suspect it’s gonna be a while yet before i see the redness go right down. I am very happy with how they’re doing though, and can’t wait or them to fade some more. Luckily for me, the section of scar that is shown in a crop top is the most faded part so you can barely tell there’s anything there :) Very happy with everything so far!

4 months post
26/11/21 - almost exactly 4 months post-op
Just thought i’d provide an update for 4 months post-op where a significant amount of my swelling has gone down. The scars are quite red still but are healing pretty well I’d say. You can also really see all about my skin in this harsh lighting which shows the reality of stretch marks and loose skin even after the surgery!

So happy with my results!!
On 28th July I had a fleur de lis abdominoplasty performed by Dr Pacifico and it was the best thing that has ever happened to me. After being overweight my whole life (for context, I was 21 at the time of the consultation) and then losing around 5 stone in a relatively short time (1-2years) I was left with a fair bit of loose skin, specifically on my tummy area. I decided to contact Marc after seeing his results and reviews on here and his instagram page, and I am so glad that I found him! Being from London, the journeys to Tunbridge Wells were a little long, but definitely worth it, and the clinic was very accommodating in terms of dates and times most suitable for the journey. Every member of staff I encountered was friendly and helpful and made me feel so comfortable.
Although I was quite nervous for my first consultation with Dr Pacifico, he immediately put me at ease and I felt comfortable straight away. He listened to my concerns, examined the areas of my body spoken about (offering the presence of a female nurse) and gave me a very clear list of the best options available for my desired results. Allowing some time before my next consultation to decide what I wanted to do going forward, I decided on the fleur de lis (as I had skin laxity on my upper torso under my chest)!
From this point I was given a date for my op (I think about 6 months time but I can't quite remember) and provided with all the details about what I needed to do before and after the surgery, what hospital I would be attending (Nuffield Health Tunbridge Wells), and the aftercare I would be given.
On the day of the surgery I was quite nervous, especially since covid protocols meant I had to be alone, but everything was very easy and I was welcomed by amazing and helpful nurses at every stage. My surgery went swimmingly and I woke up with no pain, greeted by an amazing nurse and Dr Pacifico who told me that he was extremely happy with how things went. I was looked after in my room for the night and the next day and able to go home fairly comfortable despite the hours long journey.
The recovery time for me thankfully was quite easy. With the medication I had hardly any pain, although when they warn you that you will be hunched over for a while, they aren't lying! The only pain I really experienced was in my back from the hunched over walking for about 3 weeks!! I had a couple post op appointments at the hospital, one of which involved changing my tapes. And then at four weeks I travelled back to Dr Pacifico alone on the train (as this is completely possible at this time) to have my post op appointment at the clinic. He was very happy with my results, and my tapes were permanently removed and I was cleared to go back to work (although I must admit I milked it a little longer and stayed home for another 2 weeks haha). Everything has been great since, and I now have a 6 month post op appointment in February.
I have been very lucky with how quickly and well I have healed - no pain, very good scar healing, no side effects to the pain medication. The ONLY problem I have encountered as a result of my surgery (and nothing to do with marc!!) was swell hell for the last 3 months. Today is 02/11/21, which marks 15 weeks (or 3 months and 2 weeks) since my surgery on 28/07/21, and it has only really been in the last week that my swelling has gone down and I have been able to fit into my tighter pre-op clothes!
I am so happy with every stage of this journey, and my results are already incredible despite it only being 3 months! You are told to not expect to see your final results until about a year after surgery, so I still have a while to go, especially with scar fading!
I really could not recommend Dr Pacifico enough! He is amazing!

Amazing! Does the cost reflect actual dollars or do you mean £9500?
pounds sorry! when you write a review it comes up as pounds but once it's posted it shows as dollars which is a bit confusing lol
Wouldn't extended tummy tuck or circular be solution be right choice for you? Was it drainless? Wish you all well.
no because i dont have any (major) loose skin on my back. i needed the vertical incision because i had a lot of loose skin bellow my chest line and around my waist. with a regular tummy tuck, i would still have that skin laxity when i bent over and my waist would not be as defined! and yes it was drainless which was great :) thank you!
You look great!!! How long was your recovery time?
thank you ! i stopped taking medication at about 2 1/2 weeks; it was about 4 weeks before i could stand up completely straight; about 7 weeks when i went back to work (i have quite an active job) stopped wearing compression in the daytime and was comfortable to sleep on my side completely; about 8 weeks when i stopped wearing compression at night; about 10 weeks was when i started exercising again; about 12 weeks when i started abs exercises again; about 14 weeks when my swelling finally subsided quite drastically. now i'm at 15 weeks and scars are all that i really have left to recover through. let me know if there's anything else you want to know about !
You’re so welcome!!!! If you don’t mind me asking…what do you do for a living? I am a nurse. So hopefully I won’t have to be out for 7 weeks. That’s a long time lol. I am a home health nurse. So I’ll be doing a lot of driving and going to patients homes doing
Providing wound care, education, ext etc.
Thank you so much for the response. It’s very detailed. Which is a good thing!
I was looking to go to Mia Aesthetics in Miami. I’ve been doing a lot of research. I wish I could find something closer but I am terrified to go to someone in my state lol. I live in VA.
i’m bar staff/ a waitress so just involves a lot of walking and fairly heavy lifting. my surgeon said i could go back to work after 4-5 weeks but i was not ready (mainly because i don't like my job lol) until around 6 weeks. i know someone who had the same procedure and is also a nurse and she went back to work at about 8 weeks so i think you might unfortunately be out for a while.
i’m glad my response was helpful! if you have any more questions i am more than happy to answer.
just keep researching and you will find something that fits. of course since i'm from the uk i can't offer much help in terms of location choice, but if it helps at all i chose a surgeon who is around a 1.5 hour drive from me and although that's a bit long it was worth it for me since he was amazing :)
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it.
