Terrible Experience & Results

I wanted to share my whole experience I had a tummy tuck/ lipo of the flanks scheduled for March 11. My coordinator Rosie was great! She got me all set up & even would text back within reason regarding any questions or concerns I had prior to my surgery. I went March 10th did my pre op and paid my balance. They gave me a paper with a number to text at 5pm to get my surgery time. I arrived at 8am they put me in a room for over 3 hrs then Dr. P arrived and she was fabulous took 45 minutes to go over everything with me in detail then shortly after I’m taken back for surgery Next thing I’m getting woken up by a woman trying to dress me I was so nauseous and in extreme pain. She went to get me a couple pain pills which I took them immediately got sick considering I wasn’t able to eat or drink in 17 hours plus prior. She wheels me down to my caregiver as I’m still throwing up the pills and dry heaving. That is when they gave me my prescriptions. We had to drive around to three different pharmacies trying to get my prescriptions filled because the local ones right by the surgery center were out of the pain pills. So finally 4 hrs later I get my prescriptions. My opinion they should give you your prescriptions the day before at your preop appointment when you pay your balance in full. So this doesn’t happen.  After surgery is when you were supposed to text the follow up number for your aftercare instructions my caregiver had to practically beg them to send the instructions. As they did not send any paperwork whatsoever everything is handled through text messaging. Hello 2021. The next day I go in for my first post op. That went great they sized me for my garments told me to come back in two weeks to have my drains removed. 10 days go by my drains stop producing fluid I contact the number she tells me they are ready to come out I ask her when I can come no response so I have them taken out.  A week later I developed a water bed effect I sent the follow up a video two days later she text back the it’s seroma and needs drained I call and texted & called her for 3 days then I finally called the front desk and they told me that I need to be patient and wait for the nurses aide to text me back that she cannot help me that some people have to wait a week for a response. Which is a complete joke I had a medical procedure done at your facility and you’re telling me that you can’t help me that I need to wait for some broad who doesn’t respond back to shoot me a text message on her own time. I was furious so I quit messaging the “follow up nurse” because the woman does not respond back I just showed up at the surgery center. I’m 8 months post op my results are a mess Iv called emailed & texted trying to get in contact with my dr for a revision. I still have an open wound where the nurse said I had a suture reaction 8 months later! She just keeps telling me to let it heal I’m not OK with that I’m done trying to get answers so I contacted another plastic surgery center who is going to do my revision properly. Do your research they do not send you any paperwork for any timeframe of your recovery. Everyone is friendly however the follow up is terrible and the Communication with their nurses aide is nonexistent. These are major surgeries to leave people hanging with no response not a care in the world. To have the prices they offer they clearly Cut corners & it’s with the after care.  My conclusion is : Good price with [RS bleep] results as long as you don’t need the “nurse assistant” for any follow up questions or minor complications & unfortunately follow up care is very important to me considering it plays a part in your final results.

I’m 6 weeks post op my results are great, i’m still dealing with my seroma that has been aspirated six times. Of course I’m still healing & wearing my compression garments/boards but I have high hopes for my final results. Keep your drains in for the full 2 weeks regardless of what the nurses assistant says or what they post online for aftercare because according to their Instagram you take them out after seven days so they are not all on the same page, listen to the nurses on staff at your post op. Or you will be making several trips back to Miami like I have. Do your research they do not send you any paperwork for any timeframe of your recovery.
