Here I Go Again Tummy Tuck and Blepharoplasty

caliegirl000
WORTH IT
Well here I go again. If you read my last review you will understand lipo did not work for me in the long run. most likely because of my age and skin elasticity
Since my last treatment did not last very long I figured I would get my eyes done at the same time as my tummy tuck with muscle repair. I have had sunken/ dark under eyes for years. The face pics are with no make up. I will try and put up a couple with makeup before surgery. Surgery is March 17, 2022 Yea!!! St Patrick’s Day. Age, time, and gravity can be unforgiving. 56 yrs. 5”8 164 lbs. I was down to 154, but than loose skin really shows. Not an excuse to gain just a fact

How’s it going for you? Mine was on17th. I also had the Blepharoplasty same time.

Hi! Really sore and get tired easy but I’m so impressed with my results already-even with the swelling! How are you feeling? I’m at 10 days P.O. today. Feeling more myself but get tired easy. And my back is very tired too! Still stiff and sore but it improves every day but by bit.

Congratulations on taking that next step! And 51 and just had tummy tuck with muscle repair. I also had done lipo which worked to a degree but left me with some rippling and saggy skin. I decided to just take the plunge and have the tummy tuck! I'm also detailing my review so you can check it out if you like. I'm almost one month postop and I am very pleased with my results! Good luck on your journey and I will keep checking in!

Congrats!! I actually had the same two surgeries done in December and, like you, am in my 50s. The TT also follows up on lipo that didn't last as long as I wanted plus can't/didn't address the skin laxity. I am thrilled with both results to stomach and eyes! I haven't ever had a stomach this flat, even when I was 15. Congrats again and good luck!! Hubby and kids tell me I look 10 years younger. Had our grandkids out and they got mistaken for ours, lol. It's a tough recovery for the TT, but so worth it. Follow docs orders and take it slow and easy... After three weeks I felt human again!

I’m a bit scared, but know it will be worth it. Real self has let me see the possibilities. I was told to cover mirrors because I may regret what I am having done if I see myself first week or so. Did you have upper and lower eyes? Fat grafting and pinch?

Did you do a review? I’m curious as to how your eyes came out?

Hi! No I haven't had the time to do reviews but I do have photos so I should! I had only upper eyes done as my lower eyes were not too bad. I wear lash extensions so that covered a lot of the upper eye issues but without the extensions it made a huge difference. Wearing eye makeup is so much easier to apply without all of the loose skin. I'm so happy with both procedures! Yes cover mirrors hahaha. It really is tough the first two weeks especially after the TT but every day gets a little easier. I'm 10 weeks out and although back to a completely normal routine, the skin still feels tight close to the incision and I still have mild swelling that gets worse towards evening. I even wear the binder occasionally for comfort and to control swelling.

I'm 56 and had lipo which I have not been 100% happy with. Agree on the comments about the cost would have been the same. Now I'm contemplating taking the full plunge and doing TT so I'm following all of you. GOOD LUCK!

Well here I go. I will try to post as soon as Able. I’m a bit nervous, but overall feel pretty good. I will not give a Doctor name or review until I have had a chance to heal a bit. Overall the staff has been wonderful, and my doctor has been very helpful and informative with what I am having done. Happy St Patrick’s Day !!

Here is Saturday pic of eyes. Surgery was Thursday the 17th. Took a shower today, but could not look at healing process just yet. I got dizzy even thinking about it. I will post next shower. Sleeping upright in recliner for first week to keep head elevated and knees bent to relieve strain on incision across my abdomen. The muscle repair pain is quite intense, and I had my 4 kids with out pain meds. I have a high pain tolerance but this is different type of pain

Upper and lower Blepharoplasty plus diastis recti repair

caliegirl000
As stated below It has been 4 days since surgery and so far so good. Not hungry because of the wrap around my middle, but forcing some food into myself because of the meds I’m taking. I was pretty nauseous first couple days. I ate mashed potatoes with blue berries Sounds awful but it stayed down so that is what I ate for 2 days. Also bit of ice cream with the juven packets and arnica pills.
