4 months Post op today
I just want to update my healing for myself and if it helps someone else then that’s great too! Today I am 4 months post op. My scars get lighter every week and I am feeling stronger with each week that passes. Not to say that I still don’t get sore, puffy and bloated and baby myself. I do not feel I am quite 100% yet but I’m much better than I was and I can’t wait to see what the future is like as my body continues to heal.
First Jeans
I went about 3 hours with nothing but jeans yesterday. That was my limit and I put the compression garment on for the rest of the night. It really is a day by day process. I thought I'd feel 100% by this time but I am not and I am okay with it. Still taking ibuprofen or tylenol if I need to too.
7weeks Post Op update
Hello!! I am updating weekly now just for myself to be able to look back and see the changes over time. Already, I have read through and completely forgotten some things Ive gone through on this journey. I had to ask my family about it and they confirmed a few things I didn't remember. Basically, the month of April is a blur. For instance, I forgot I was shivering uncontrollably after surgery. Anyhow, I am 7 weeks post op tomorrow. I wore jeans for the first time yesterday!! I went cg-less for about 3 hours until I was uncomfortable and needed to out it back on. Today, I wore my stretchy jeans with it underneath. I haven't worn jeans in almost 2 months and felt really restricted all day. I finally went thru my clothes and started trying things on. I notice my shape is very different. I tried on swim suits too. Some of my pictures have the waist band pulled down a little to show how my scar is healing. Swelling continues to go down but there is still a large area in the middle that puffs up and is numb.
