Dr. Carmona and his team were amazing. I am 8 days post op and just flew back to NY after my procedure. I was nervous about flying to a different country to get the surgery but Dani was great at explaining the process and making sure I was ready to get there.
A week before leaving for Cancun, George contacted me to make sure I knew exactly how to find him at the airport. He gave me directions, pictures of how to get through customs and was ready to pick us up when we walked out. George was amazing through the whole experience. He showed us around Cancun, took us to and from our hotel, the hospital, and the consults, and was ready to answer any questions we had.
After picking us up from the airport, I got my bloodwork done and went to meet Dr. Carmona. He was very thorough with explaining the procedure and answering all of my questions. I strongly recommend him as a surgeon and I am very happy with my results so far.
My surgery was done at the Victoria Hospital. I was very impressed with how clean and new everything was in the hospital. The staff was amazing and really made me feel comfortable during my overnight stay.
After surgery Gloria, the nurse, came to the hotel and helped me shower and change my bandages everyday.
Dani and George were both very quick to answer any questions or concerns I had post op and made sure I was doing okay with my recovery.
Before I left Cancun, I met with Dr. Carmona again so he could tell me how to continue to take care of myself back in New York, how to have drains and stitches removed and what to look out for Incase I had any concerns.
Overall, I had an amazing experience. I will be back and I strongly recommend Shape & Beauty, Dr. Carmona and George’s Dependable Medical Care Company for anyone looking into medical tourism.

I’m scheduled for a bbl with Dr.Carmona in January. Can you give any tips on what to pack/what’s not necessary. How has the recovery process been ?! Maybe you can upload some pictures too ! ❤️
You’re going to want to pack baggy comfy clothes. The last thing you’re going to want is to struggle getting dressed. If you’re staying at la Quinta they have AC and they also have the same outlets as the US so you don’t need to bring converter chords.
Bring things to keep you busy because you’re not going to want to get out of bed. (Computer, books, movies, etc). La Quinta also has a great breakfast buffet every morning but make sure you have foods that are healthy and easy for you to make.
Recovery has been great. Getting better everyday and I’m on day 12. You are going to be soar and unable to get comfortable. Pillows are your best friend. Don’t be afraid to ask the hotel for extra pillows.
How long was the plane ride from cancun to NY .. were you able to sit?
The plane ride was 6 hours. I was able to sit. You’re gonna be sore and stiff but you should be able to fly. I flew out a week after surgery.
Hi there... I had this done with dr. Carmona in June of ‘17. You are absolutely going to love the results. He is an artist. Lots of pillows, they’re use to his patients, and have no issues bringing you more. I found the walls to be extremely thin.. bring earplugs, JS! Laxatives!! Strong laxatives!! You will be bunged up a few days after. I didn’t feel like eating for a couple of days after surgery so I had bought some boosts from the mall. They were a godsend, because they insist on you eating eating eating, for healing. But you don’t feel like it so much. I also had bought some lunch meats n bread. Some drinks, fruit. Just enough to hold me over during the day then I would order room service for dinner. There are no kettles in the room just a coffee maker. There breakfasts are serve urself, if you can get down there. Hence another reason for the boosts. Good luck and enjoy ur new body
