Cancelled surgery

$12,500
So, after booking the day I was feeling pretty nauseous most of the days following. I wasn’t able to sleep, I was having nightmares, & overall felt very distressed about going through with the surgery. I lost 5lbs in one week due to the stress and lack of appetite. All of my family have been adamantly against the surgery. Everyday they insisted I prepare a will, or leave everything arranged in case I didn’t come back home.

As a nurse, I’ve seen horrible surgical outcomes, I’ve seen unexpected things happened to patients like lack of oxygen to the brain resulting in low quality of life. Infections can become amputations if your lucky to stop it before sepsis ensues. I have done my research related to cosmetic surgery and although there is a possibility of death, pulmonary embolism, fat embolus, sepsis and many other complications the risk is pretty low if you are a young and healthy individual.

Personally, I came to the conclusion that cosmetic surgery is just not worth the risk, as minimal as it may be. I cancelled my surgery date and I feel a sense of relief. I am sad that I won’t have that sexy 20 year old body I’ve wanted to get back before I had children. But I am happier knowing I won’t leave my kids as a result of plastic surgery gone wrong.

I wish everyone a safe journey and please think about all the complications and decide if it’s something you are willing to put yourselves through. This is major surgery! Please ladies be very diligent in choosing a surgeon and be sure it’s a board certified surgeon and that he/she performs surgery in an accredited facility! It is also highly recommended to have your surgeon near you. It’s more difficult having to fly back and forth for follow up or issues related to complications. Also, keep in mind we only have one life, so do whatever makes you happy however be mindful surgery is not “permanent” as we will all age eventually. Best of luck to everyone!!!

Tummy tuck and BBL

Hello, I’ve been stocking RS for the past six months and finally decided on going through with this surgery that I have waned since 10 years ago. I am 5’2 and weight is usually 130lbs. I live in Texas but have found Dr. Salama in Florida and that’s where i will have surgery. I really can’t believe I will actually be having surgery! I’m the type to over think very situation and it was very difficult for me to come to terms... I’m still not fully there yet. The nerves, anxiety, and the “what if’s” are killing me. Medical tourism is no joke. I have two year old twins that I will be leaving back home and we’re inseparable so that’s going to be tough! I pray that everything turns out the way I want it to God willing.

ME too! I just made the date about a month ago. I am a mommy too and I feel so strange/ not sure about leaving him...
It’s very hard when you have small kiddos because they really depend on their mommy for every single thing. Leaving them has me torn, even though Dad will be staying with them the entire week. When is your surgery scheduled? And where will you be staying?
I am in Texas to and making the same journey! Keep us posted!!!
