Tummy Tuck & Uplift

Wow, so where do I start….Sorry it’s a long one

So about 4 years ago I had lipo with a really bad surgeon in Harley Street.

I was left with lumps and bumps hanging skin etc… I wanted a tummy tuck and and uplift (as I lost weight too)

I was really worried about having surgery again so went back to the drawing board and started researching again (About 2.5 years later)

I came across Bella Vou while looking at all the different places to go as well as a few others.

I went to see 2 surgeons they were fine but didn’t give me that feeling that I felt like I needed in my gut, I then found Bella Vou and thought they wasn’t in London so let’s give them a try. So I booked an appointment with Amir after watching all the videos, reading the reviews etc.

When I got there I was greeted at reception honestly she was so nice I thought this is a good start.

Then I went upstairs to the waiting room to be meet and offered drinks etc….

I was then bought into the consultation room where I met my patient coordinator and surgeon. It’s was really weird because as soon as I sat down I knew he was the one I wanted to fix me. I don’t know why or what happened but I just felt something that I didn’t with the others I went to see and I just knew. It was very strange but good and I felt happy.

They were both really kind and I told them all that happened to me in London and then he asked what I was there for.

I told them what I wanted and he examined me and told me it was possible to have what I wanted but because I had some lumps and bumps it might not be perfect I accepted that and said just do your best.

So I went away and spent a good few months thinking it all over because before I just rushed in wanting it all done asap and look what happened!

Nearly a year went by and I knew I was going there if I was having it done but was just worried about the downtime after as I work for myself and knew I would need to book a lot of time off for recovery as I wasn’t straight forward like others as I had bad surgery before.

Anyway, I booked my op in for 6th January 2026.

I was offered the chauffeur service to come and collect me from home but I wanted my husband to drop me off and stay with me until I went in. I wasn’t nervous at all on the day and they couldn’t believe how chilled and laid back I was considering how bad I had it from my last surgery but I knew this was a completely different place, nothing like I had before so I had no worries or cares about the clinic or the surgeon. I was taken to my room to unpack and settle in, then Amir came and see me, marked me all up and off I went to the theatre.

When I woke up I was all done, not in too much pain because I still had loads of drugs in me so was feeling ok. By now it was early evening and the nurses had changed over. So I meet the night nurses. Oh my god! Honestly they were AMAZING! I just couldn’t believe how lucky I was to have 2 of the loveliest people looking after me. It made everything so calm and comforting for me, honestly they were so kind to me and I felt so happy to have them. I was sick in the night because my blood pressure was low and they looked after me so well; I just couldn’t thank them enough.

The day nurse also came to see me and helped me shower and get dressed, she did everything to help me as I was a bit wobbly.

When it was home time the nurse gave me all my meds and talked through everything and then off I went. Their driver was there ready to take me home. Again, honestly, he was so lovely and friendly. He took my bags and walked me to the beautiful car, put me in the back, did my seat belt up and took me home. We chatted the whole way home and he was definitely a bit of me, just so down to earth and we chatted constantly. It was pure luxury and a smooth drive home. When I got home I didn’t want to get out of the car, I was so happy sitting there with my drink and the luxury!

So then my recovery started…

I’m not going to lie, it hasn’t been easy.

When he opened me up he said my whole stomach and sides were terrible as I had so much scar tissue. I was a mess (I don’t think he had seen anything like it before) this caused complications in my recovery, I haven’t had it easy, it has been rough BUT they have made me come in every single week for 6 weeks to monitor me and I have seen the nurses every time. I have been in and they have watched my healing progress, photographed everything and issued me antibiotics etc. 5 out of the 6 times I have been in I have also seen the surgeon as they wanted to check me themselves. I have seen most of the nurses there and honestly they are unreal! They genuinely care they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and happy and gave me everything I needed to go home with (dressings etc) I didn’t have to buy anything, they supplied everything. The aftercare has been UNREAL, the service doesn’t end once they do the operation, they will not sign you off until you and they are happy with your recovery. In between all the visits and appointments once a week my patient coordinator constantly emails for updates and photos every 2 days just to check everything is going ok at home, she was brilliant. When you have this procedure you also get 3 MLD massages Included, I got Renata as my therapist, what can I say about her she is an absolute asset to this company honestly she is one of the most loveliest people I have ever met the first 3-4 weeks were really hard and I really struggled but she made it so easy for me she really genuinely cared about me and can’t thank her enough.

So it’s will be 7 weeks tomorrow and I’m still under their care. I also had Rado (another surgeon) check me twice because Amir was away and he wasn’t even my surgeon but he saw me to check me over, what more could you ask for when it comes to after care.

Sorry about the big message but I really wanted to let you know the truth about my experience at Bella Vou.

I have been to so many places that offer surgery, when I first had my lipo in London I went to 3 or 4 places, then after my last operation I had consultations at 4 places in London to try and get it fixed and a further 2 in Essex and 1 in Kent (Bella Vou) so I have seen enough surgeons in my time but when I walked in there I just knew that was the place for me it was instant so different from everywhere else I had been over the years. Different League altogether!

I will leave you with this… Be extra nice to Ann on reception because everytime you leave she gives you snacks and drinks for the journey home, (they have this massive secret drawer that I like a sweet shop it’s just the best drawer ever…) My husband never moaned driving me back and fourth for 6 weeks because Ann always gave him snacks for the way home

I hope this review helps you when making your decision whether to book with this clinic.
