Dr. Aitken did an amazing job with my surgery!

Dr. Aitken did an amazing job with my surgery! She was kind, warm, professional, and knowledgeable. The staff was friendly and made me feel at ease, even though I was initially very nervous to come in. Being a petite person with diastasis recti (DR), I felt awkward coming in to seek out an abdominoplasty. I spent years trying to close my gap, but still lived with daily pain and was limited with what I could and couldn't do. Dr. Aitken was honest about this surgery not necessarily being a "fix" of the pain, but also acknowledged it would help return the core strength & support I lacked. She explained the reasons why I was a good candidate for this surgery, and during the consultation she even found out I had an umbilical hernia! Dr. Aitken took her time answering all my questions, and she helped me weigh out my pros and cons. Her honesty was refreshing! The surgery went very smooth, and the staff was so helpful and kind. The recovery is not fun, but doesn't last forever. I am 7 months post-op, and not only do I look amazing (she did a GREAT job with the belly button, and the scar is neat and fading well), but my back pain is gone. Because I had my DR fixed, I am not limited at all anymore with what I can and cannot do. This was literally a life-changing surgery for me and I am so glad I went to Dr. Aitken for it. I will recommend her again and again to anyone I know.
