Hello all, I am 31, have two children ages 8, and 3. Always have been fit but during my first pregnancy developed preeclampsia and severe edema. Then while pregnant with my second I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. In a nutshell I have an auto immune disease where my body attached my pancreas. So my poor pancreas does not produce insulin. I have a insulin pump and my diabetes is very well controlled. After my first child I lost all the weight but had a pouch and stretch marks. After two kids I have bad diastasis recti and my stomach always protrudes out. I’ve tried so hard to work out and I already have a healthy diet bc of my diabetes and yet I always have a 3 month pregnant looking stomach. My doctors have approved me to have this TT and I am scheduled for January 17! I am very nervous, especially about post op complications with healing. It is almost the big day and I cannot wait to finally feel comfortable in my clothes and have a mid section that is in balance with the rest of my body!!!

I am the first surgery tomorrow! Scheduled to arrive at 7am! Doing the last minute errands and work paperwork before being a zombie! The anxiety and nervousness is very high today. So far, I’ve had great support from my husband and family and I hope they don’t burn out on me! I know they won’t but I worry about how difficult it will be on them to help me and attend to our two kids. My mom has already filled my fridge with food and will be cooking daily for us! I don’t know what I would do without her! I cannot believe in less than 24 hours I will be in surgery!

So far, okay. Pain in lower back and lipo is what is irritating. Norco is helping just trying to stay positive! I trust it will get better day by day!

Taking bromelin, tummeric, arnica tea, and pineapple tea. Hope all these supplements help. And yes I just keep envisioning the future and try to not focus so much on the present pain.

Day 1
jessica32287January 18, 2019
Waking up from anesthesia and walking felt like I had run a half marathon. Getting home was great I got so much support from my husband and family. They truly go above and beyond to help. Taking all meds and supplements. Doing my best to keep hydrated! Norco helps the pain but it makes me very drowsy. I have two drains in my Nurse pinned them to my binder and so far they have not bothered me. I was ecstatic to see my tummy! My ps was able to completely remove my old belly button piercing and no vertical scar! Incision looks very low and flat!! I just keep thinking about the end goal and not the pain!
