7 month update

WORTH IT$9,500
It’s been a very long time since I’ve been on here. But wanted to give n update bc I know i found these later post sx update helped me a lot. I’m a little over 7 months po. Diet wise; pre-sx, I mostly stuck to paleo. Post sx, I tried Keto for a few months but found cheese makes me bloaty. My body seems to prefer paleo and for the past 3 weeks I’ve been trying intermittently fasting & it seems to be a good fit for me, so far. I’ve been going 15:9 this past week. Shooting for 16:8.
I absolutely am SO very pleased both with my decision & results. I can’t imagine still having that big giggly belly in front of me. I still think about going back for a little lipo around my obliques to get that more hour glass shape. If I not do it, I will still be happy with my figure but just think it would finish it off. All the pain & infection & anxiety leading to the sx was worth it. I hope everyone is happy & healing well. If u r on the fence about this sx .... do it. It’s painful, it can feel endless but it’s all temporary for fret lasting results (with continued effort). Find a reputable surgeon & get an appointment... u won’t be disappointed.

Little over 3 months po

It’s been quite some time since I’ve been back on here. RS even reaches out to me for the Real Friend badge but I ‘declined’ bc I didn’t know how much I could keep up being on here to really maintain the true RF status. When I was researching one of the things I disliked was seeing reviews that seemed to fall off the face of the earth. I felt like I was reading a story & never got a conclusion. So I wanted to make sure I at least post an update. I’m going to try & post occasional updates but life really does take over.
Overall I’m extremely happy I did this. The recovery from day 1 to 6 weeks po was real intense for me. Once I got to 7-8 weeks post op, it seemed like a switch at off & I just started healing easily (as I’m typically used to). My review chronicles my journey, so I won’t get in to it in this post.
@ 9 weeks po, I started exercising again. Nothing crazy. I would use & still do 5 lb weights and do basic arms exercises.
@11 weeks po, I started lightly spinning again. I love spin & own a Peloton bike. Spinning gets my legs in shape & helps build my core bc I hate to run. The bike is super quiet so if I’m not doing a class, I watch tv while riding it.
I’ve attached some updated/comparison pics. I feel very fortunate that overall, I’ve had VERY little issue with swelling. I had a follow up visit with my PS on 11/30 & he’s very pleased with my progress. I have no need for any other follow up visits.
My only ‘complaint’ -and I use quotations bc it’s something my PS said may be an issue bc I didn’t go the 2 stage route (liposuction then tummy tuck) - is that I’m missing the hourglass shape. I still have fat on the sides of my tummy bc he had to b more conservative with the lipo in the front of my tummy to keep the blood flowing to my incision
He said he could go back in & lipo those tummy areas & my inner thighs. It would b @ 1.5 hour sx & VERY limited downtime - recovery could b just a long weekend. I said this TT would b my last sx but I’m seriously considering it. I’m going to make an effort to work out religiously until early March. If I’m not seeing the shape I like, I think I may have him go in & do one last ‘fix’. I figure, I’ve gone this far... might as well get it all.
Well, that’s my update! If I decide to go back under the knife, I’ll definitely post an update. I hope everyone has been healing & doing well!

You scar looks really good. So I can understand in you wanting an hour glass shape. I never thought of it like that if you get a tummy tuck then lipo. I never considered a tummy tuck bc I tend to keloid. But Dr. Mancoll did tell me that if I have extra skin then I would need a tummy tuck. But you look really flat and don't have much if any fat on your stomach that I can see. But I don't blame you, you've gone this far get what you want. Lipo away! And 1.5 hour is nothing. Keep us posted!
Overall my tummy is flatter but the oblique parts of my tummy still has a fat ‘roll’ when I sit. Nothing like before but the hourglass shape is the ideal. If I don’t get the lipo, I’ll b ok. But it would just finish it off
Your sharpe & scar look great! I did get flank lipo with my TT, from the front it looked WONDERFUL, but I had a muffin top across my back. I went in for additional lipo. It was extremely easy. I took 2 pain pills & 1 day off work. I had it done 3 wks ago. I'm still bruised & sore ... but no pain. Go to my review for pics & more details!
Thanks! My scar looks way better at this point than I could have imagine. With my skin type, it’s usually pretty dark for a very long time. I read ur review regarding ur lipo update. Seems almost like we had opposite issues. My PS lipo’d the heck out of my back (hubby thought I had s butt lift) but my flanks still have ‘flab’ :( It sounds like ur updated lipo sx was WAY simple. My PS said he’d want me under anesthesia so he could really get up there & precise. Said he would even lipo my inner thighs. He said it would b a MUCH easier recovery. That’s a huge plus. I’m considering it. It wouldn’t b cheap... but in the long run would it b worth it.... that’s what I’m weighing out. Am I being too greedy....
Hey lady! Glad to see your doing well! Your tummy looks good, incision too. Now, I thought, may be wrong that he Lipo your flanks? He didn't? I just assumed that's part of all TT's, I didn't have to ask my ps, he said he would. When I had my consultation with mancoll and actually the read on I didn't go with him was because I went in wanting a mm all at once and he went a completely different route that woukd have cost me double. He wanted to Lipo my body first, all over, then tt with a bl, no augmentation, said I should wait 6 months and if I didn't like the size of my breast w just Aug, then go back for augmentation, to the tune of about 23k. Not sure why he would suggest all that, but I didn't have all that money and going under 3x wasn't appealing either. Hopefully you can eventually get the look your going for, you're still look fab xox
Thanks! He lipo’d my entire back & conservatively side/front. He said he’d be conservative in the front bc he didn’t want to restrict blood flow. So it was something I knew going in. He Lipo’d 4 liters total and the nurse said the max they do at one time is 5. The fat that’s left that bothers me is right over my obliques. Just jumped off my spin bike so I’m hoping just diligent exercise over the next 3 months will ‘fix’ it but at least I know what my back up plan could be! How are you? Hope you are doing well!!!
Ahhh got you! I'm at the gym myself hoping to melt some fat before I myself consider Lipo, I'm very tempted! I'm good, last night I was so swollen, I still take bromelain to help, I also bought a turmeric tea, hopefully that will help too, I've been on my feet a lot lately, prob Why. Ugh
Yes, at some point all this does have to be maintained with diet & exercise :/ Sorry ur still dealing with swelling. I’m knocking on wood & thanking my lucky stars I only had that one really bad swelling episode (it was right after I had a drain removed too). I’ve had very little swelling, even during my monthly visitor. I’m gonna weigh my options over the next few months. Of course, keep us posted if u get lipo. I will too! :)
Have you thought about corseting ? I had lipo and TT i'm only two months out I don't really see much of an hourglass shape either.I've started wearing a corset for 2 to 3 hours a day just to see. Not really willing to go back in for surgery for more lipo.
Hi. Yes, I’ve considered corseting. My plan is to weigh out all my options over the next couple months while staying committed to a regular workout regime. See what it looks like @ early March then make a decision. Bc I can get it lipo’d out but I’ll still have to maintain it. We know that’s the harder part :/ Corseting could be an option but I’m not sure how dedicated I could be to it.

Supposed to say; lightning is NOT the greatest :/
Oh yeah it’s def lighter! It’s looking great! How’s your lipo pain? Subsiding any?
@ 6-7 wpo, I feel like I started to turn the corner. 8wpo today and VERY happy to report lipo pain is nearly all gone. No more itching, only time I feel any ‘pain’ from it is after laying on that area for too long it gets a numbing/stiff feeling but SO much better! Just waiting out the swelling/hard areas from the TT now ... but as with everything else with this sx, it just takes time. Thanks for checking in on me. I haven’t been as active bc October is a crazy month- daughter’s bday, anniversary & my bday.... it’s almost worst than the actual holiday season! Haha. Hope u r well!
Yay! Glad to hear you keep getting better and better! I’ve been busy too! Back to school is killing me lol!
I hear ya.... I look forward to the breaks. I haven’t been as involved with my daughter’s school activities as I had been in the past. Work has been crazy too. But very happy to be getting over the pain hump!
Your scars are definitely lightening up. It's looks damn good. Happy to hear the pain is pretty much gone! Awesome. So happy for you!
Hey! Thanks. I need to check in on ur reviews! At leas I can tell u that my back lipo pain has VERY much subsided @ 6-7 wpo.
Oh my, your scar looks so much better! Looks like your healing nicely! Hope your feeling as good as you look!
