6 month update

And here is my six month picture update. I am forever grateful to Dr. G. He is amazing!

42 years old. Two kids. Stomach destroyed.

Excellent. No pain whatsoever. Dr. G is fantastic!!!
Day 1 Monday
Went in at 7:30 am. Surgery lasted about 4 hours. Dr. G had me drink a drink with vitamins and electrolytes potassium too I think 2 hours before surgery. Woke up. No nausea. He only put one drain because he's uses quilting sutures inside. My drain never got full and could've been removed three days later but scheduling didn't work, so I will get it removed tomorrow Monday. I went home after surgery took my pain meds and slept. But I forgot to put the nausea suppository. Oh boy that was really bad. I vomited but only because my body hates anesthesia. That hurt soooooooo bad. I thought I had popped all stitches. Ladies please please please I repeat please do not wait for symptoms take your meds asap!!!
I just vomited twice luckily. After that. No pain. Only needed help getting up to go to the restroom. I must add though that I just got a plain tummy tuck with no liposuction. I have heard that's what hurts the most.
Day 2 Tuesday
Minimum to no pain at all. Taking percocet every 4 hours and valium every 6, but got very groggy. Saying funny things and hallucinating a bit haha. My family was getting a kick out of it. Still needed a bit of help getting up but normal.
Day 3 Wednesday
Feeling great. I can get up all by myself to the restroom and doing 5 laps around the kitchen island for excersice. Mind you. I am getting up to the restroom every hour. I am drinking lots of water. So glad I exercised so much for years before this surgery because I think it is what's helping the recovery. I just get out of breath easily, but nothing major.
Day 4
Wow, every day I feel stronger. I mean walking a little bit more upright. No pain at all. I am now just taking 1/2 percocet and 1 Valium every 6 hours. I really braced for the worse but his is nothing of what I imagined. It is a breeze. I must say my doctor injected my muscles with this new stuff called exparel which numbs your muscle wall for like 3 days. Blessed thing because that might be it too.
Day five. Saturday
Same. No pain. I am able to do 10 laps around the kitchen island. Haven't showered. Oh my but managed to wash my hair in the sink. They have me on this binder with legs which I love because I don't even see or feel the drain hole. So no pain. Nothing. Nada. Hurray.
Day 6 Sunday
Still no pain and I didn't take any pain medication today. I have been a perfect couch potato though the whole week allowimg.my body to recover. I slept a lot. To.orrow Monday will be a week and im.going in to see the stithese and scar. I'll post more tomorrow.

Day 7 Monday
Had my drain taken out and bandages removed. Scar and tummy look beautiful already. Came home exhausted. Slept since 7 pm. No pain. Yay!!! Blessed Exparel!!
