Before & after for the users who have asked...

Hopefully you guys can see this...
The before and after speaks for itself, i love the result.
Most of the scars are healing nicely, but one is still particularly tender, the one from my belly button upwards by the end of the day is quite sore and tough, so needs a good massage, but it's always ok again when i wake up in the morning.
If there's anything you want to ask, please just let me know.

Cheers dude. Looks great, happy for you. Do you have normal sensation/feeling in your nipple and tummy area since the op, now that it's a year plus? Also, how much did you pay total for the op? I'm going for gyne surgery 100%, just trying to narrow down which surgeon will give me the results I'm after and possibly a tummy tuck for my loose skin but I'm unsure if I want to risk it for the latter.

No the sensation is still really weird. All of the scars are numb and i've only got very faint sensation in both nipples at the moment. My surgeon said that it should probably return but there's a chance it might not, but i can feel something coming so i'm guessing it's just going to be a long process.
On a side note though, i did have chronically sensitive nipples before surgery so i am actually hoping full sensation doesn't come back!
Tummy wise, the sensation is quite bizarre... The scar down the middle, i can feel the gap where the excess was removed, where whole section of skin and nerves in the middle that's no longer there. I can touch either side of my scar which in reality is 5 millimetres apart but feels about 2 inches apart, it's hard to explain unless you experience it.
My scar that runs hip to hip is probably the one i have most sensation in right now. The extremities each side were sore for quite some time and i have some problems right in the middle (imagine roughly where your belt buckle sits) with hairs trying to grow through the scars but that seems to have stopped now.
I had no real complications with anything so i'm now just waiting for my scars to fade.
i can't quite remember the exact figure for everything as it was done in stages but it was in the £11000 area.

What's putting you off the tummy tuck?

That was quite helpful, thanks. I think I kind of get what you mean regarding the gap, it makes sense the way you described it, sounds like when a limb is removed and a person can still feel it, ghost limb or something. What's putting me off the tuck? Well, compared to Gyne surgery it seems much more major and obviously I want the excess annoying skin removed but I'm weighing up whether it's worth it in terms of the side effects that can result, mine is bad but not as extreme as you case was. Also, the cost lol.

In terms of paying, did you pay for everything out right or have a payment plan? I was looking into health insurance but cosmetic surgery doesn't seem to be covered with most providers.

By the way, do you mind if I dm you some of surgeon's I'm looking at? I would appreciate your opinion as you've been through this. I want to go for consultations with each but that's £150-£250 per consult, which I need to save towards the ops.

Ah i see yeah.
Well, although the tummy is a lot more invasive i actually struggled more post-op with my gyne surgery. They did feel quite different, but at least after the tummy op i could get out of bed fairly normally (albeit slow) and shuffle round, but after my gyne op i felt like i was bed ridden, i needed help even just to roll over. I can't tell you why, or that it would even be the same for you, but it was really tough for me.
So i was expecting the tummy one to be just as tough so i was actually quite suprised when i could stand up and walk about quite freely straight after, almost upright and quite pain free.
Don't get me wrong, neither was easy but i guess i was expecting the chest to be the easy one.
I think the big thing tummy wise would be if your surgeon operates on your abdominal muscles, fortunately i was fairly healthy and strong underneath so it was explained to me that i didn't need any work there which would make my recovery easier and speedier. I only lost 5ml of blood aswel which was amazing, i thing i've had cuts on my finger that bled more than 5ml's! haha.
Regarding payments, i was fortunate enough to find myself in a position where i had the money to pay upfront, but i had looked at health plans in the past and nothing 'cosmetic' was covered by any of them.
And yeah sure, send them over, i'll see which ones i'd pick.

Clothes shopping today!

LB6858
A quick update:
I couldn't help myself today, I had to leave the house and get some new clothes, what an experience!
I can't describe the feeling of just picking ANY normal clothes off the rack and for the most part, they fit! And I don't have to think 'I'll need a shirt or hoodie to go over this to hide my body', or just getting everything in black to try hide as much as possible.
It makes everything I've been through recently feel worth it.
I think I underestimated how good this would actually feel.
Feeling great today ????????????????

2 weeks post op tummy tuck:

LB6858
Firstly, apologies for the lack of updates...
But 2 weeks ago i had my last surgery, a fleur-de-lys abdominoplasty and glad to say everything went pretty straight forward. Approximately 3kg (6.5lb) of tissue was removed which was more than i thought there would be, and lost 20ml of blood, which is amazing for the size of op!
I could pretty much stand upright after 2 days which was also unexpected but welcome! And pleased to say i've had absolutely no problems (so far) post op, apart from maybe a sore lower back and some really bad nights sleep, but all that seems to have settled down now. I have been taking it extra easy.
Had my first glimpse of the scars a few days back when i had a follow up appointment which i have uploaded now, looks quite the sight!
I've now noticed i'm swelling up quite a bit over the last 3-5 days, i would guess that's because i'm now up and about.
I'm going back to work next week which i think will be ok, it's not a physical job so that will be a total of 3 weeks off work, at a push i could have gone back this week but i didn't need too so thought i'd take an extra week off.

Worst experiences so far post op:
Day 2, drains out!! My word they were not fun!
Days 3,4,5,6,7, the many antibiotics and pain killers making me feel absolutely awful along with not sleeping at all well.
Day 8, a cough came out of nowhere whilst i was eating, and let me tell you, it felt like my whole stomach was on fire!! It actually felt like it was burning, by far the experience so far on this journey!
From this point on (apart from trying my best to avoid coughing and sneezing at all cost!) it seemed to get easier, i'm still slow at moving round but i'm starting to feel a bit more normal now.

Best experiences so far:
Clothing!! I am blown away at how my clothes fit now, i could never have imagined how good it would feel to just put a tshirt and leave the house without covering up. I now need nearly a full new wardrobe as most of my clothes are now too big. But that's the good bit!

If you have any questions feel free to ask away.
I will be posting pictures from now on to document how i heal.
