More updates from day 7 here: photos from early post op. You can see all the loose skin is gone and replaced with soreness lol. I still have 1 drain in that i hope will be removed on Monday. I am surprised with my increased mobility. I almost feel normal walking around and then get reminded of my condition if i sit down or reach to get something. I would advise everyone to concentrate on always eating healthier. Before, during and after your procedure. For all of us doing this, proper nutrition will always be a lifetime learning and improving experience. Take care of your body and you will feel better than you did when you ate any of that poor food you used to eat. You just have to do it long enough to experience it. I send out my thanks to the RealSelf community for helping me through this life experience! If you have any questions for me il be glad to tell you what i know!

Today is day 7 post op. I have to say the body is amazing with its fast healing abilities. I have had no unexpected issues in my recovery so far and I am grateful for that. I am just keeping the incision clean & applying vaseline after showerimg and thays it. It seems very happy, is less swollen every day and the color looks normal. One thing my dr. Recommended is a heating pad for your back of you got lipo there. I have found it helps reduce the swelling and relax those muscles. The swelling has gone down each day noticeably. I notice that my binder feels looser in the morning when i wake up and there is less of a feeling of pressure when i sit up. The hardest part of the recovery has bern sleeping comfortably. The furst few nifhts i would HAVE to get up every 2 hours to pee. This went on till day 5 when it statred to get better. Last night i only had to get up once and i was able to sleep on both sides! My lower back has been tired and sore from all the sitting/laying/walking hunched over. Im walking almost fully upright today. I didnt uae much of my pain meds. I took a half a pill sometimes the firsy frw nights but then found that the pain was not from my surgery but rather that I was not eating enough. I had lost my apetite and it didnt come back untill about day 5 but i quickly disvoveted that if i didnt eat enough i would feel extremely uncomfortable. Eating healthy and regularly has been the best help for me. I never had the constipation that everyone talks about. I had a bm on day 1&3 and am regular now. Im not sure if thats from not using the pain med or the fact that they minimized the anaesthesia.

32 YO male abdominoplasty

My recovery is going very well. I am grateful that things are going well, my body feels like its healing and taking care of things well. I am treating it as best I can and being careful to help it heal as easily as possible.
