Had surgery yesterday with Dr. Guilfoyle. I have a high pain tolerance so I am still waiting for the horrible pain I have read about. My current pain level is about a 4. I wouldnt call it pain so much more like discomfort. Although I feel good, I am taking it easy. I am able to get up on my own to use the restroom. My husband has been awesome. He wont let me do anything on my own. I am currently taking 1 percocet every 4 hours or so as needed. My doctor and the coordinated health hospital team were amazing. I can already see such a major differnce even though I am swollen. I had a tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo on my sides. I will be off work for 2 weeks which is going to make me crazy. I am so bored. I will update with pics and more info.

WOW! This is so different from most peoples posts about pain. I'm so happy for you about that. I have a high pain tolerance, too. But I am still going to expect the worst and hope for the best. What size were you before the TT? Did you have hanging skin or only stretch marks?

Thats exactly what i did. I think from reading so many reviews and being scared i was expecting the worst. I am completely off of pain meds as of this morning. Just tylenol. I am going to update with pics today. I def had bad stretch marks and lots of skin. I have my post op on wed. I was a size 14 because of my stomach which im sure will change. My waust is much smaller.

Did you have a TAP block or something similar during surgery to block the pain?
I am 19 days postop today.

Quick update:
I am 5'6" was 230. I carried my weight pretty well but i was very unhappy with my stomach. I have no health issues so my dr. Didnt require me to loose any weight. My surgery was 4 days ago and I am still not in much pain. I have stopped taking the pain pills. I dont really need them. I took one extra strengtg tylenol a few hours ago. The muscle repair is pretty tight which is causing majority of the discomfort. The sides where he preformed lipo is sore to the touch. Id say my pain level is still about a 3-4. Its much easier to get up today. I do have an appetite but when i eat i get full fast. I am still draining pretty good but its more so clear fluid now. My drains are coming from my pubic region which is very annoying. I am definitely experiencing the swelling. I cant wait to see my stomach. I have only changed the guaze around my drain sites and applied Neosporin to the guaze. I havent experienced much dizziness like i have read from others. My lower back is sore from laying down and hunching over slightly to take the tension off my incision. When i wash up tonight i will take some pics of me standing up.

Currently 11 days post op. Had my drains removed monday at 10 days p.o which was the best part thus far! Those things super suck!! He also removed my tape from all incisions. Neither really hurt. The drains feel a little weird but no pain. The tape stung in some areas due to dried up blood and scab forming. My incisions are healing well. I go back in 2 weeks. I was worried about having an ugly belly button and scar bit i am vwry pleased. Can wait to be cleared to belly button train. I will try to post pics again. My Dr said he removed about 15 lbs of skin which was crazy! I have worked out and atr right for so long bit couldnt loose my stomach. Im so happy id do it all over again. I am still swollen but everyday gets better. Im starting to get feeling back in my stomach and feeling more like myself. My incisions are starting to itch but i know it's a sign of healing. Havent needed pain meds since day 3. I have had a hard time at night getting comfortable but last night i was able to sleep good. I worked one day this week bit go bavk in Thurs. Im excited because im tired of being in the house. My activity level is almost back to normal besides lifting. I think thats all i have for now

Thanks for sharing your TT journey. I am considering getting this surgery. My PS recommended it two years ago for my compact body type. Did you have any complications?
Go slow and take it easy while you are off. I know it's hard just laying around, but your body needs the rest right now for proper recovery. You will be back to normal routine before you know it!
