8 week update!

Things are going pretty well, no issues. On a scale of 1-10, I’m at a 8 when it comes to satisfaction with surgery. I thought I would be completely snatched and that just isn’t my experience. Had post op with my PS this past Saturday he said I look great and still have swelling, but stressed a better diet. I started working out 10 mins a day on the elliptical or a walk a week ago.
I’ve completed 9 lymphatic massages. I’ll post some before and after pics. The pics were from week 2 vs week 6.
The large faja I have definitely does not have enough compression anymore. I order a semi custom one from Faja Tributo as recommended by another RS me never. Should be here in about two weeks, I’ll post when it gets in.
I still experience discomfort where I had lipo on the mid back. Not too bad, but laying longer than I anticipated.
Very happy with my belly button.

4 week PO

The last week has been alright. I’m able to carefully lay on my back and stomach wile sleeping. Laying on the back still feels very tight, so it’s rare. I physically went into work once last week and I didn’t have any issues. I’m standing about 98% straight.
I had two lymphatic massages this past weekend. Friday I did the drainage + ultrasound & RF (cooling, sculpting, fat burning) and Sunday I did the manual lymphatic massage at my local massage envy. I’ve decided to do five with the machines and five manual for a total of ten. I feel relief where I’m swollen from lipo immediately after the massages.
Added some before and after pics wearing the same workout gear and my scar so far. I have not started scar gel as my incision has some open areas. Belly button still looks scary, but I know it’s a process.
Im feeling good about the tummy tuck. I’m more fluffy in the upper abdominal area than I hoped, but there is some swelling. Hoping for the best.

Scary Shit (recovery chronicles)

Yesterday at 330 am I had my husband run me to the ED. I was in debilitating pain and felt like I couldn’t breathe. A little back story , Wednesday I had my drains removed and decided to sleep in the bed ( on my side). In the early morning I was awoken by horrible back spasms. I thought, okay I’m just not ready to lay on that side let me turn to the other side, that was worst. I got out of the bed and into the recliner and was fine until I woke later that morning. This continued to happen throughout the day in numerous positions, pain was at about a six. On NYE At around 10p, I was playing uno with my children sitting up on the couch and started having spasms at pain level 8. I skipped trying to lay in the bed and went straight to the recliner. Some how I fell asleep, but woke up to excruciating pain around 330 am. I went down stairs to try not to wake my husband and walk it off, but the pain got worst and worst started to travel up my shoulder and constricting my breathing. This was the first time I felt like crying since my surgery. I decided okay this may be serious, maybe I should go to the hospital, maybe this has nothing to do with the surgery. On my way back upstairs I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t breathe. It took me forever to get up the stairs thought I was having a heart attack or stroke as women have those symptoms in the back. Woke my husband up , we were both scared because I was gasping for air. He gave me some muscle relaxers and was able to get me in the car to the ED. The hospital is about 20 minutes from house. About 10 mins after I checked in the pain had went from a 10 to an 8 and I could breathe more freely. Long story short they ran so many test (CT, EKG, UA, blood clots). Was having spasms the entire time, continuous spasm. My husband could feel them as he was rubbing me. The Ed doctor said it common to have spasms after a TT and the reason it seems I can’t breathe is because the pain from the spasm makes it painful to breathe. She gave me a lidocaine patch and some stronger muscles relaxers. Since then I have not felt any spasms smh.
