Great Results - So Happy I Did It

I had an abdominoplasty with muscle repair (severe diastasis recti from 2 pregnancies), hernia repair and a brow lift and bleph-something (upper eyelid). I was SO nervous to do this - it was expensive and scary to think about that big of a surgery, but Dr Sinno did an amazing job. He made me feel safe through an emotional process, physically I felt he was very conservative and careful especially while in recovery, and the results are life changing. I’m not being dramatic when I say that. I feel like I am a person again, not a body that I was embarrassed about. I’m about 10 months post op and am proud of myself for my fitness routine, proud I did the hard thing (after 7 years of physical therapy trying to fix my abs - I somehow thought surgery was an “easy” way out - ha!!), and so happy I drove 1.5 hour away for the surgery to do it with Dr Sinno. His nurse, Caroline, was also lovely and while certainly not an “easy” process, I’m so thankful I went for it.

As an update, the photo i added was about 6 weeks post op, and I was overweight and probably still swollen. I looked and felt so much better post op though. I have to add more words so I guess I’ll share that when I walked to my marking appointment the night before, a panhandler congratulated me on my pregnancy. If that wasn’t a sign to move forward, I don’t know what was. I was uncomfortable and embarrassed. The surgery has helped kick me back into my fitness routine - I used to be pretty active before kids. I feel better and like working out is taking care of myself bc for so long it didn’t matter how much PT i did or how much exercise - I still looked and felt awful. Again, very thankful I did the surgery.
