One of the Best Decisions for Myself
I was asked to do this weeks ago but I was trying to see something...
I had an overhanging pannus that would not budge no matter what I did. I concluded I'd have to get it cut off. I searched for 5 star cosmetic surgeons in Jacksonville. A few comparably good surgeons popped up. Dr. Hardy was the only African American. I decided he would be the surgeon. I followed his work on Instagram and remained impressed.
A couple years after that I scheduled my consultation where I told him all I really wanted was to look down in a full body mirror and be able to see my pelvic area. He assured me that as long as I was healthy (good labs and within the bmi requirements), he could do that and more.
He told no lies. I am extremely pleased with the results. The thing I was trying to see: whenever I go through TSA at the airport, my stomach would set off the machine and they have to pat it down. I went flying this week... No set offs or pat downs!
I am so glad I got this done. I look as healthy as I feel. It was one of the best decisions that I made for myself.
Tip: research, research, research. I was not surprised by any of the process be it consultation, pre-op, the actual procedure, post op, and recovery (even pain level) because I watched different surgeons and patients online give tips and "things I wish I knew." I also watched the actual procedures. But if you're squeamish I don't recommend watching the actual procedure but definitely read it.
