Smartlipo Done on 02/15/10- Flanks, Abs, Banana Rolls, Love Handles

Day 8- I took my one week pics today. The swelling has gone down quite a bit, but I had to go on several walks to get that working. Walking and water are the key! And keeping your garment on all the time. Today was the longest I've had it off, which was about 45 min, and I was ready to have it back on. Today was the first day that I would call the level of pain just "really uncomfortable" instead of "painful". My banana roll area and my upper abs are sore, but I can feel everything just fine. On my lower abs and love handles it's still a numb, tingly feeling. I have not had to take anything for pain in a few days. So I would say if you are considering doing smartlipo on several places on your body at once just count on a good 5 days of laying low. You can be walking around, doing chores, driving, and all of that. But you will be moving very slowly! I have been able to pick up my baby without any trouble as long as she doesn't kick while I'm holding her.

Day 5-6 I can actually tell that I am progressing now. I am noticeably less sore now. Still in pain and it's tough to get around, but I'm at least a little better.
Day 7- ONE WEEK! I am feeling even a little better today, but I am seriously swollen all of a sudden. I am posting my before pics tonight and will post my one week pics tomorrow.

I am 33 years old, I weigh 129 pounds, and I am 5'-6". I had a baby 1.5 yrs ago. I don't have much excess weight on me, but I do have pockets of fat that don't move with weight loss or excercise.
Day 1- Surgery at 8:30am. I was very nervous. I remember the entire procedure. The doc talked me through it all. I was uncomfortable on occasion, but the doc fixed that right away. I was at the doctor's office from 8:30-3:30 and I left there very tired. I went home and went to bed for a few hours. Took one pain pill that night (hydracodone), but it kept me up all night. I was in quite a bit of pain! Because I did the flanks and love handles it hurt to lay on my back, and because I did my abs I couldn't lay on my stomach, and because I did my banana rolls it hurt to sit up. I had quite a bit of fluids leak out, which is good.
Day 2- Still in a lot of pain. I'm really not that swollen or bruised. I have only been taking Tylenol. I can tell that I look a little different, but it hurts very much to take my garment off, so I won't be taking time to take pics until I am comfortable without the garment on. I did take a shower this morning. Make sure you have someone around to help!!!! I needed help to remove my bandages and get my garment off. I was very uncomfortable in the shower, but sat on a foot stool so that I wouldn't get too weak. All of my surgery areas feel numb, sometimes tingly.
Day 3- Hardly any swelling still and very little bruising. Still in a lot of pain, but getting up and around. just moving very slowly. Took another shower this morning and it was quite a bit easier than yesterday. No more fluid is coming out of my incision areas.
Day 4- Went to my first follow up appmt this morning. The doc was very happy with the results and said that I am progressing very quickly. I'm still in a lot of pain, but I think my doc was pretty aggressive, which I'm thankful for! I am a bit swollen today. I set up my next follow up appmt for March 18 when the doc will take my after pics. He's going to give me a disc with my before and after pics, which I will post. But I also took my own before pics, which I will post as well. I will probably take some pics after one week and post those.
