First Time Juvederm Ultra Really Happy So Far - Tuggerah, AU
ORIGINAL POST
I had always wanted my lips fuller but wended up...
WORTH IT$295
I had always wanted my lips fuller but wended up getting Botox first
The dr explained to me how no two would help "pull down" my lower lip where there is an underbite
He quoted me $450 aud so I decided to try a nurse at the laser clinic in my area for $389 aud ( 1 ml of juvederm ultra)
The numbing cream got on my tongue as she was asking me my email address so it felt really weird . After about 10 mins she started the injections
I could feel the tip of the needle going in each time but nothing after that! Quite painful but just bearable!
I'm not 3 hrs post treatment and hardly any swelling which is good! Or I hope this isn't swelling and they get smaller haha I'm not wanting the swelling to go down too much and i only just got them done

Day of treatment
The next morning..
These photos are 13 hrs post treatment . No ice applied yesterday . (6am so no talking or moving my mouth for 7 hrs)
My upper lip feels a bit tight and puffy but nothing uncomfortable
I will update later today after ice .
You can see the needle marks a lot more because of the upper lip swelling. Will be interesting to see if I can cover it with makeup and if the makeup will stay put as it's so close to my lips ( eating ,drinking etc)

How long did yours last? I did juvederm also and it lasted about two months. 1 syringe though. I still have more fullness than before but not as much projection.

I'll let you know ( day 5 today), the nurse injector said it should last approx 4-6 mths
I only had one syringe too.

Well I think they look great! ( I should have looked at the date) lol... I loved how I looked after having them done. I took a lot of pictures and just watched them, like I said they're still fuller than they were

Swelling from this morning has gone down a bit I think
I can feel little lumps and you can see it when I stick my lips out but I Assume that's just little bits of the juvederm that haven't settled.
I really won't concerned until 2 weeks post
And even then when I have a review with the nurse i will mention anything that bothers me.
After reading reviews on real self I I've seen that swelling can be much worse so I'm really lucky so far ( good injector too on my humble opinion)
I have been trying to drink lots of water as per aftercare sheet and I did find that when I rubbed my lips together today to blend lipgloss it hurt a bit (swelling?)
So I'm avoiding touching and pressing my lips together and just letting it settle
More advice I remembered from the nurse she said on smokers it can not last as long and also it can "go down " more quickly if you talk a lot
I'm in customer service and I have an almost 4 yr old haha so I joked to my sister I will talk all the juvederm out by tomorrow
Oh and also my mum noticed my lips looked different ( she knew I was getting injections soon and asked ) but my sister who sees me once a week or so didn't realise. I do wear makeup most of the time so she probably thought I over Drew my lip line .
My husband doesn't like them said I look like Daffy Duck haha and it's just not me. He can't wait for the swelling to to down and for it to go completely I think! Haha
