How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

1 week post op
Went to the Dr. today. He said I was doing fantastic !!! I can not believe how good I feel. Everyday gets better. My Dr said I had "very crusty" capsules. He said he cleaned everything out. I didn't have drains. I asked why.. and he said each case was different, and he didn't think I needed them . Was glad for that. Now I go back in 3 wks. I hope he says I can go back to riding my horse again... I miss that the most :)
on the lighter side of things... Day 2 after removal
Day two post op. Here they are, just hanging around waiting to continue to heal. All I am getting now is an occasional jab of pain, but it is tolerable.
Update....one day post op !
The journey continues ..... Yesterday was a wild ride, although it seems like it was much longer ago than that. Now looking back it seems like yesterday was a bit of a blur, but a good one. The procedure went well, and I was taken over by such a sense of calm, that I decided to hang on to that feeling and it really helped. Went in at 6:30 in the morning and was back home by 10:00 . The worst part was simply the overall anxiety of the process .( The medical staff was wonderful and I didn't even have to go home wearing a cone on my neck, I promised I wouldn't lick )
Yesterday there really wasn't much pain. Today is some pain, but it is more localized, if that makes sense. Like a jabbing feeling in one side or the other. I am such a light weight when it comes to pain meds, I found if I take a 1/2 of the prescribed one, with a whole tylenol , I don't have such a brain fog. Sleeping upright is a bit of a challenge, but I do have a bed that raises, so that helps, but for future reference I would strongly suggest to have about 2 extra pillows that are soft enough to hold onto and fold if needed. It just feels good for protection. Tomorrow is another day, I hope to write another update.

Provider Review
wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Cant say enough positive things about him and his staff at The Institute of Plastic Surgery. Everything turned out exactly as was explained to me.
