1 year photos and update

It’s been a while since I have taken post-op photos. Even though I still have BB issues I’m so super happy and have no regrets. I feel so much more confident with my body and get compliments on my outfits often. I feel it’s because I’m FINALLY happy with my body, even though I still want to loose a few pounds. My bellybutton revision is scheduled for the end of next month. I hope by sharing my story helps. No one can understand what us women have to go through and by sharing if I only help one person it’s all worth it ??

It’s now been a year since my TT

Sorry its been so long since my last update. Although I have to say that I’ve been very happy with my results even though I still have some hiccups that I’m still dealing with, but for the most part the swelling has subsided and and the scars are fading. I now exude confidence and I know is because I feel better about myself and I’m also NOT having to be self conscious of trying to hide my huge flappy belly anymore (yay!!!)
So, to let to all know that I’m STILL dealing with my belly button and having to have Kenalog shots in it every 6 weeks since the surgery last year. The dr says I have a “short stem” and it’s wanting to heal-over (close) and I’m having to wear a gauge (like people wear to stretch their ears) in the belly button hole. I have lost so many of the gauges that I now tape them in with surgery tape to keep them from falling out. I have to clean the hole out several times a day with a q-tip. I will be checked again in another month or so by and Gorin. He said that he will probably then schedule a revision for that and at the same time do some Lipo in a spot that is kinda poofy on one of my hips.
Because of my belly button is being so stubborn I worry if working-out will irritate it? so I have been not pushing myself when I work-out :-(

I’ll post updated photos soon (I promise)

Odd bruising after a 5K?

I'm not sure why I had strange bruising after I ran my 1st 5K race after I had the TT? I didn't give it a second thought after I felt sore in the upper chest/ribs area. I just thought that the soreness was due to time off for surgery recovery, then two days later I could see the bruises. I contacted the dr And he said that it was odd because it was out of the operating zone, but to not to worry about it and if it happens again I'm to let him know. I'm taking arnica which should help with the bruising and I have taken a few days off running too. #runnergirlproblems

My original date for the TT was scheduled for Jan 11th but due to a freak snow storm surgery had to be cancelled. Dr Gorin offered to pick me up and was on his way (I have a hybrid) but his chains broke. Dr Gorin gives 100 percent! I know that I picked the right surgeon and I'm looking forward to 1/26/17
