It has been eight days since I had Coolsculpting done on my lower abdomen and inner thighs. I have a desk job and don’t get to work out as much as I’d like but I am in pretty good shape other than my stubborn areas. I am 5’4 and weigh about 123 pounds. The small applicator was used on all treatment areas. The first five minutes were painful but nothing that you can’t handle. Each area takes an hour so be prepared as it is time consuming. The massage at the end of the treatment is really the worst part of the whole ordeal. It feels like cramping and just plain funky. Overall the treatment isn’t bad and I read through it all. After the treatment I was sore, almost as if I had been at the gym and had worked those areas hard. The next couple of days I was still sore and the areas were still numb. Around day three the pain started to get a little worse and went downhill from there. By the weekend I was in quite a bit of pain. I spent almost all of my time in bed with an ice pack and Biofreeze within reach. Both really help and I recommend that you have both on hand just in case. By day seven I couldn’t take the pain anymore and called my Dr. They called in a prescription for a muscle relaxer and a nerve blocker. I started on both yesterday and while I still feel some pain in my abdomen, it is nothing like it was. I can actually function now rather than wanting to curl into a ball and stay in bed. Do not hesitate to contact your Dr. and ask for help. I like to think I am brave when it comes to pain but this was constant, every moment of the day I was in pain and it takes a toll. As for results, it is too early to tell as I am still quite swollen. This is normal so I am not yet making any judgement as to whether or not it is worth it. I will be sure to report back with updates. The reason I am posting all of this now is to let people know it can be extremely painful so be aware and be proactive. Have Biofreeze and ice packs on hand. Again, do not hesitate to contact your Dr. for medication.

Thank you so much! I feel 100% better. Between the meds and time I am finally feeling myself again. I still have some tenderness but nothing like it was. I see you also went to Dr. Gorin, isn't that a great office? It sounds like you love your results, I am so happy for you!

Will you being having more treatments?  Looking forward to hearing more and seeing pics of your results.  Thanks so much for sharing.

Hi Gina, I am going to wait two months and see what my results are. If I do not have the results I am looking for I will be doing further treatments on the same areas. When I workout regularly I can get rid of other "problem" areas but the inner thighs and abdomen are a pain!

I hear you about the inner thighs.  That's been a problem for me for a long time.  Definitely keep us updated and happy holidays!

Thx for sharing! I wish I could have seen your post sooner bcuz the exact same thing happened to me on day 3 & 4...I thought something was wrong & maybe the procedure had gone wrong or maybe I had a bad reaction! I learned later on, that day 3 is the most painful day per se, & it's pretty darn intense for some ppl. I have a high pain tolerance as well so I just kept wearing a compression garment & started rubbing Tiger balm all over. I also started taking Tylenol extra strength in place of Ibuprofen bcuz I heard that ibuprofen can delay your results since it's an anti inflammatory. Thx for sharing!!

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that you also had a rough time with recovery. I was embarrassed to call and ask for help but I was so miserable I couldn't help myself. They really need to be more forthcoming regarding the pain. What day are you on now? Are you feeling any better? I am in the defrosting stage still and while it can be itchy at times I can't complain considering what it felt like a week ago.

I didn't have severe pain but needed the nerveblocker (gabapentin), as you also mentioned. The numbness for me has almost subsided, but I still don't have 100% feeling in my lower abdomen. This is normal & full feeling will return within a month or so. KEep us posted as to the outcome of your inner thighs as I am in far northern California & I am seriously considering having that area treated as well. It has been just under 1 month since I had my lower abs treated so as you mentioned, it is still too soon to see a drastic difference. If your thighs touched before your treatment, was it painful to walk or was your tummy worse?

Hi Amberlin, good to know about the numbness as my stomach is still rather numb but I do get itchy from time to time. I suppose my inner thighs are still a bit numb but they haven't bothered me much at all. When I was experiencing the worst of the abdomen pain my thighs started to act up a bit. I had a bit of sharp pain and they felt rather hot. I would alternate the ice pack between my tummy and thighs but by far my abdomen was waaaaay worse pain wise. I would say, had I just done my thighs, I wouldn't have needed anything other than a little ice and perhaps some Tylenol. My thighs didn't quite touch so that didn't bother me but almost everything about my tummy bothered me. I feel SO much better now. Like you said, it is too soon to tell if it is successful but if you end up having the results you wanted from your abdomen I wouldn't hesitate to do your thighs, It was a snap. Do you or did you have sort of a hard rectangle at the site of the procedure? I will keep you posted and please do the same. BTW I love California! My sis is in Ukiah.

I am now on day twelve and the pain has almost all but gone away. The swelling has gone down considerably. It is still too soon to speculate on results but I am heading in the right direction!

Was $1700 you paid for 3 areas (2 inner thighs and a stomach)? Did you get a discount? Also if they took before and planning on taken after pictures, if the office lets you, would you please post those? I am interested in the same areas. I live in Beaverton, OR. Thanks!

Hi OlgaW, I did receive a discount. I was lucky enough to inquire about this procedure at just the right time. Had I not received a discount it would have been 2200.00. And yes, I had my lower abdomen done as well as my inner thighs, each with a small applicator at an hour for each treatment area. The photos I posted were taken by me before treatment. I am noticing less swelling and would say I am back to my before photos. The office did take before photos and once we reach the two to three month mark I will be sure to post after photos. I can't yet say if it is worth it but I have my fingers crossed and remain hopeful. Just remember not to be bashful if you experience pain. Everyone wants to say it isn't painful but for some of us it is awful. Do have Max Freeze or Biofreeze and an ice pack handy, just in case. I have just now started back to working out so don't beat yourself up if you need a couple weeks to get back into the swing of things. I do recommend Dr. Gorin's office if you feel like driving to Tualatin for your procedure. Good luck and keep me posted, I will be sure to do the same.

How satisfied are you with the procedure now?

Hi jenifer, my stomach has started to flatten out nicely but I feel like my inner thighs are still a bit swollen. So far I'm still on the fence. I will say I haven't done much to help either tone up. I enjoyed the holidays and didn't exercise much. That being said, my stomach has been flattening all the while so the coolsculpting has to be working, just slowly. I will try to post an update in a couple of weeks. Have you done it or are you considering doing it?

I have noticed significant belly fat reduction. I have still not been on a regular exercise program since I received my treatment so I feel it is safe to say that the reduction has to do with the procedure. I haven't noticed much reduction in my thigh area and am still hopeful I will see a change in the next few weeks. As mentioned, the pain was intense until I was prescribed a nerve block, but I would absolutely do this again given the ab results.

Hello- I am considering cool sculpting on my innner thighs. I am wondering how your results have been since your last post? Also, how many times do you have to get it done?

Goodness, I am so sorry I missed this, have you had your procedure yet? If so, what do you think so far? I only did my thighs once and if i were overly picky I would go and do them again as I didn't notice much of a change. My boyfriend insists that they look less full but I can't see it. Again, this is an area that I can tone up when I regularly exercise so I am not wanting to spend a small fortune on them. My stomach on the other hand is a stubborn area and I was willing to spend more to get it done. I went back in on Monday and had the right side of my belly done again as it was uneven, apparently we can carry more fat in one area rather than it being universal. Anyway, let me know if you have already gone in and what you think.
