TruSculpt ID Did Nothing for Me. It Was a Bust. $1,400 Down the Drain.

$1,400

I am 44 years of age. On April 6th I had TruSculpt ID done on my abdominals. I didn’t have much fat to lose. I really just wanted to lose a tiny bit of fat so that my abdominals would look more defined. I went to GloMedspa in Scottsdale, AZ for my TruSculpt ID treatment and Caroline (esthetician) was my provider. Ordinarily, the charge for this treatment at GlowMedspa in Scottsdale, AZ is $400 per paddle and you can use up to 6 paddles at a time. I used 4 paddles on my lower and upper middle abs. I had a 10% of internet sign-up, so I spent approximately $1,400 on my treatment (plus tip to be nice, foolishly).

I was told the treatment would be very tolerable, not painful and that I should get GREAT results. I was so excited. I was asked if I had any metal in my body, I confirmed that I did not, the pads were then put in place, I lay down, and treatment began. The treatment hurt like hell. I felt like I was being burned and could barely stand it. Caroline, my esthetician said if I could stand the heat, that is how one gets the BEST results, but one has to be able to stand it for the treatment to really work. So, I hyper focused and just breathed through it. I noticed that my skin felt the most pain where the edges of the paddles were. It was just shy of unbearable. It was definitely not comfortable or pain-free.

Today is June 30th, I am one week shy of when I was supposed to be seeing amazing results and my stomach has only increased in size. I exercise at least 5 days per week and eat a clean plant-based diet… a LOT of greens; plain asparagus, broccoli, sweet potatoes (no butter on these), salads, etc. I’m now wondering if I have scar tissue or something internal going on as a result of this procedure. I don’t even know how I would determine that.

What I do know is zero inches were lost, inches were gained. My stomach did not have a substantial amount of excess fat to begin with, I posted a photo of my stomach the day of my treatment on April 6th below. I have never had a real issue with weight. I was hoping for great results because I endured the pain of the heat and was at a good starting point. I regret having TruSculpt ID done. It was a waste of money for me. I hope I can help you save yours.

TruSculpt ID was painful, a waste of time and cash, unfortunately, and I am worse off than before I had this treatment done. My stomach went from flat to poochy. I feel like a lot of devices/ treatments make empty promises and the most effective results are gained by having a surgical procedure. I should have left my stomach alone, it was fine, I just believed the hype that TruSculpt ID could get rid of that last little bit to help me achieve the definition that I wanted. Smoke in mirrors.

Hi, any updates? Did the pooch end up going away?

It did not, unfortunately. I still have that same pooch. It’s bizarre. The procedure was painful, so I almost wonder if it is possible that I have scar tissue or something from the TruSculpt ID. I’m not sure. All that I know is I have a pooch where I had none. I regret trying the procedure. I have also heard very bad things about CoolSculpt. I think the only true solution is lipo. The money I spent on TruSculpt ID was completely wasted.

After my free consultation with trusculpt ID, I wasn't sure of the effectiveness of the procedure. I advised myself to consider liposuction. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I think that is best. I was actually told that a number of women wind up with the opposite result after TruSculptID and CoolSculpt where they develop much larger fat pockets. There is a name for it, but I can’t recall it now. I sincerely think anyone would be far happier with their results investing in lipo instead of what I had. If you have a lipo consult, ask them how many TruSculpt and CoolSculpt corrections they have to do. It seems to be quite a few.

It's called paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, but that can only happen with Coolsclupting. It is not a possible risk for Trusculpt since these treatments use completely different techniques.

Yep this happened to me with coolsculpting. Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll probably avoid this

It’s only 25% of the treatment area per treatment. You just may need more than one. It works. I love my results
