I was scared, but from experience, I trusted Charles for his artistry and honesty. After 45 minutes of numbing cream, the discomfort was less than my anticipation. Suddenly it was over. I was modestly red that night and maybe a little next day. After that, no redness. I had been trying on eyeglasss for several days before and after. Seeing my photos and then seeing me in person,,my daughter noticed significant improvement in my skin! We saw tighter jowels and reduction in wrinkles., I also could feel it. I had gentle tingling in my face for about ten days, and I felt like this was the tightening process. My skin feels tighter and more plump. I had not planned to have a second treatment, but with the positive results, I will go back for one more.
Today I took the plunge and received the first of my 3 Qwo treatments. I can't wait to see the results. Step 1: Determine areas of cellulite Step 2: Mark areas of cellulite Step 3: Inject identified areas Step 4: Remain lying down for 5 minutes That's it. The injections did not burn or sting. It felt about the same as Botox in the forehead-which isn't a big deal. It isn't even close to being as bad as lip injections. Numbing cream not needed. About 30 minutes later there was a bit of itching (not enough to scratch) and the area felt a bit hot. The pictures show that some swelling had begun and it is just a bit tender when sitting down. Not enough to not sit down or need to make any adjustments. I will keep ya'll posted- super excited and hopeful! Pictures are 30 minutes post injection. Updated on 9 Apr 2021: So the pictures look bad but it isn’t painful! In fact, the minimal swelling has done wonders for my backside and has me considering some sculptra after all 3 rounds are done. The injection sites have a bit of firmness to them but overall the discomfort is minimal. Updated on 20 Apr 2021: No pain and maybe a bit less of a dent under my right side? The bruising is almost resolved and again this isn’t a painful experience. There is some firmness at a few of the injection sites but it isn’t painful. Updated on 20 Apr 2021: I laid out for a bit and got some sunburn. That always helps camp the divots. Hopefully it doesn’t throw off the pics to much so we can still judge progress. All the bruising is gone now and again no pain! Updated on 7 May 2021: My first QWO injection was April 6th. QWO requires a series of 3 injections. These result are after only ONE INJECTION. Today I got to see my before and after and I am very impressed. I didn’t realize how much better my backside looks until seeing the pics side by side!! Updated on 7 May 2021: A couple hours after my second injection series. Not as much swelling or bruising. The best part is there is no aftercare required. There may be some firmness at a few of the injection sites but this is NOT painful. I have not had to change my lifestyle due to pain or discomfort. I haven’t even needed Tylenol! What is hard to capture is a bit of booty pop after the first injection. With the bands not holding the skin and making dimples it also released and has created more lift. Considering I haven’t changed anything else and my cellulite is better I am very pleased! There was also an open house hosted by QWO today when I got my injections. The rep explained this has been used for medical treatments for a very long time. It is only new in its cosmetic application which makes me even more confident and comfortable. Updated on 8 May 2021: The day after my second set of injections. Much less bruising than the day after my first set of injections. A bit more tenderness than my first injections but still nothing that requires me to change my normal routine. I amazed by how little the bruising is this time. Updated on 9 May 2021: Less bruising than first injections and bruising showed up later. After the first injections the bruising was very pronounced 8 hours after the injections. With the 2nd set the bruising really showed up 48 post injections. No altering of lifestyle required and the discomfort is t enough to cause me to do anything differently. -- Updated on 1 Jun 2021: I am a believer in this product. In fact I’ve been so much improvement I actually went to a nude beach in Jamaica. Considering before I would barely wear shorts there’s a definite difference I can’t wait to see what I look like 30 days from now!, In fact, I am considering paying to use it on my thighs and legs as soon as summer is over to help out with some of the cellulite I have noticed there. The bruising was considerably less after the second injection compared to the first and the amount of minimal discomfort I felt after the first and second injection is even less with the third really quite remarkable! It was so fun watching my care provider struggle to find dimples compared to the first time when they were everywhere and easy to locate! This goes on my -IT WORKS list!! Updated on 1 Jun 2021: Here are the pics after my 3rd set of injections. Less dimples and just one crease that hopefully will e eliminated in this round. I am so excited about this product!!! Please see detailed review in previous post. Updated on 2 Jun 2021: ZERO bruising this time. However, I am having a lot of itching. It’s annoying more than anything. I am really liking the result compared to where I was. Can’t wait to see what it looks like in 30 more days. Not having bruising is nice! Updated on 10 Jul 2021: Apologies for the delay. I have moved and done some traveling. I am still please with my outcome. The major dents are gone! It highlights that I need QWO on my thighs next!!! I am so appreciative of the skill of Glo MedSpa in Scottsdale. They explained the process and always answered each one of my questions! Overall QWO is totally worth it! Finally, a no pain minor downtime (9 days per session) solution to cellulite. You can see the skin laxity I am experiencing and where the QWO treatments stop and the bumpy cellulite begins. I will have in office pics taken within the next 30 days - life got in the way of my scheduled appt. Also planning to do morpheous8 to address the skin laxity. I will update once complete Take ALL my $$$$ this works! Updated on 18 Oct 2022: Qwo lasts about a year. It wears off or grows back or some other process but I look like I did before the injections. That being said, it was great to have a year of smoothness! I would do it again if I was going to spend a lot of time in a bathing suit and I may try it on my thighs since I really dislike the cellulite on my legs. I do wish it lasted a bit longer. Maybe do Qwo and Morpheous to improve it short and long term.
As someone who is not a big fan of med spas I can say that glo med spa in Scottsdale is very different. There is no selling involved and more the opposite where you get to talk to the professional Charles the owner who can help you make a decesion on what to expect. After he did some great work on a friend of mine I was ready to go all in with botox, fillers and a thread job. He suggested only the thread job and I am very happy with the results which keep geting better now after six weeks .The procedure took around 45 minutes and was no where near as bad as it looked on the videos I watched on u tube before coming in. My face was sore for about a week and I did not do heavy exercise but had no downtime to speak of. Unlike a lot of things you can do at a med spa this procedure is all about the professional who does the work. Like a great surgeon or artist Charles was very very good and I would recommend anyone to travel farther or to come to his business in Scottsdale. Updated on 15 Mar 2019: The first 6 months the results gradually were getting better and have stayed great even after a year. Very happy with med spa and procedure. Well worth it and just came back after a year for a little botox and was happy as I could be with the procedure. Updated on 24 Dec 2019: Still looking good after 2 years . I am so lucky to have found Charles Small at Med Glo Spa in Scootsdale Az. This procedure I would only do with someone who has done hundred of times and gets great results. It truly is only as good as the person doing the sewing. Charles Small is the master.
I am 44 years of age. On April 6th I had TruSculpt ID done on my abdominals. I didn’t have much fat to lose. I really just wanted to lose a tiny bit of fat so that my abdominals would look more defined. I went to GloMedspa in Scottsdale, AZ for my TruSculpt ID treatment and Caroline (esthetician) was my provider. Ordinarily, the charge for this treatment at GlowMedspa in Scottsdale, AZ is $400 per paddle and you can use up to 6 paddles at a time. I used 4 paddles on my lower and upper middle abs. I had a 10% of internet sign-up, so I spent approximately $1,400 on my treatment (plus tip to be nice, foolishly). I was told the treatment would be very tolerable, not painful and that I should get GREAT results. I was so excited. I was asked if I had any metal in my body, I confirmed that I did not, the pads were then put in place, I lay down, and treatment began. The treatment hurt like hell. I felt like I was being burned and could barely stand it. Caroline, my esthetician said if I could stand the heat, that is how one gets the BEST results, but one has to be able to stand it for the treatment to really work. So, I hyper focused and just breathed through it. I noticed that my skin felt the most pain where the edges of the paddles were. It was just shy of unbearable. It was definitely not comfortable or pain-free. Today is June 30th, I am one week shy of when I was supposed to be seeing amazing results and my stomach has only increased in size. I exercise at least 5 days per week and eat a clean plant-based diet… a LOT of greens; plain asparagus, broccoli, sweet potatoes (no butter on these), salads, etc. I’m now wondering if I have scar tissue or something internal going on as a result of this procedure. I don’t even know how I would determine that. What I do know is zero inches were lost, inches were gained. My stomach did not have a substantial amount of excess fat to begin with, I posted a photo of my stomach the day of my treatment on April 6th below. I have never had a real issue with weight. I was hoping for great results because I endured the pain of the heat and was at a good starting point. I regret having TruSculpt ID done. It was a waste of money for me. I hope I can help you save yours. TruSculpt ID was painful, a waste of time and cash, unfortunately, and I am worse off than before I had this treatment done. My stomach went from flat to poochy. I feel like a lot of devices/ treatments make empty promises and the most effective results are gained by having a surgical procedure. I should have left my stomach alone, it was fine, I just believed the hype that TruSculpt ID could get rid of that last little bit to help me achieve the definition that I wanted. Smoke in mirrors.
