3 weeks post op!
WORTH IT$15,249
i had a follow up appointment with my doctor today, and it went well. He cleared me to go back to work, so I will go back next week. He said I didn't have to wear the binder anymore and can switch to more comfortable CG, and don't have to wear any CG garments at night if I don't want to. We'll see how that goes. He gave me permission to ditch the post surgical bra at my one week appointment, so I've been wearing wire-free alternatives since (way more comfortable!). I can start scar therapy so I bought Siligen gel from his office. I can apply it everywhere except where there's a spitting stitch (ouch!). Everything looks great and feels pretty good, but I'm honestly a bit more sore at this point than I thought I'd be. My boobs are still pretty sore and I almost feel like they are more sensitive now than before. Maybe it's because I'm getting more feeling back and the nerves are regenerating. I'm able to go back to the gym bit only for lower body workouts, like on the elliptical. No upper body or core yet. In fact, he said I'd have to wait three months before doing any core work. I'm anxious to get back on supplements so I'm going to start taking turmeric again which really seems to help with inflammation. Not much else other than that.

Follow up with Dr Youn and 8 Days Postop
Good morning! Although still pretty sore, I'm feeling so much better! I've been able to take a shower each day which has totally helped me feel more human. On Monday I went to see Dr Youn for my postop appointment. Jenny, his nurse, removed the drain and tape, clipped some stitches, and applied fresh tape. What a difference it has made not having the drain! Although Dr. Youn stitches the skin layer back to the muscles to help decrease drainage build up, he still sends you home with one drain just for extra good measure. So I totally get why he does it. It's not a terrible thing, but it just felt good to have it removed. While I was there and just for fun, I had Christine in his office do a Botox treatment. Just a little extra boost for the new me!

Two days post op
Hey RS'ers I can't believe my surgery is done and I'm on my second day post op! Dr. Youn was so awesome before my surgery! I arrived early so he could mark me up. He was extremely precise in his measurements, and we went over everything again ... exactly what he was going to do and what size I wanted my breasts to be (full C/low D) with the BL/BR. He also did a full TT and a little bit of lipo on my hips. I don't remember anything after mid way down the hall to the OR until I woke up in recovery. I think my surgery took 5 1/2 hours. They immediately took me to my room since I was staying for one night at the hospital. The nurses were all so nice and attentive and I was glad that I spent the night because I had some nausea from the anesthesia. They had given me Zofran, but added some phenergan which made my nausea go away completely. Thank goodness!
Today I'm pretty sore and tired but am doing well. A friend flew in from out of state to help me and she's been awesome! I was sad she had to leave this morning. She helped me get a shower before she headed out though, and that went really well. It felt wonderful to be able to get all freshened up. Per some of the recommendations here on RS, I had gotten a shower chair which made it so much easier. I faced with my back to the shower head, but I also have a removable shower handle so that made things even easier. Afterwards I was pretty tired, so I took a nap. Will post some more pics soon!
A couple of things I noticed for me was that I didn't really need a toilet seat insert. I think because I had been working out so much before surgery, my legs are strong enough that I was able to use them instead of my torso muscles to get myself up and down. The other benefit of that is that last night I was able to get upstairs without too much trouble so I could sleep in my bed, and this morning to come back downstairs for breakfast and to hang out on the couch. Thanks again to some of you RS gals who recommended the wedge pillow! I've been using the one that I bought for sleeping on my bed and for laying on the couch.

I'm so glad you are doing so well. I had my TT MR BR lipo on hips and thighs on the same day. You did May 3. Ouch... burning and stinging sensation on my upper thighs. But my doctor said everything' looks great so far. I really do hurt all over though. I hope it gets better soon! Sending you much healing energy your way!
Hey Gfire I'm glad you are doing well! I'm sending healing energy back your way, too! I know what you mean about being sore all over. What kind of pain meds have you been taking? Have you had any nausea? I struggled with the nausea right after surgery and into that night, and some the day after. Thank goodness my doctor gave me a prescription to take at home. I have soreness in my hip area which is where my doctor did a bit of lipo. I hope you are feeling better soon! Please keep us posted.
He gave me Hydrocodone 5-325 and I could take 1 or. 2 tablets every 4 hrs but I have had to take the 2 tablets every 4 hrs or I really hurt if I dont. I never got nauseous though thank God.
