Second opinion

My vacation was delayed due to weather and I was able to get a last minute appointment at a different plastic surgery center. The practitioner was very kind and professional.
Her opinion: to use hylaronidase to breakdown the excess filler on the right side and extract excess filler from the sites where the filler was placed too superficial. She felt I may need to come back for another hylaronidase injection in two weeks if it was still uneven. She said she would not add more filler until I was satisfied with the current results.
I had her do the procedure and her office uses a numbing cream before the injections. That was a nice touch, it did decrease the pain. I can already tell a difference and its only been a couple hours! I will likely need more hylaronidase but this is an improvement!
I also thought it was very kind that they only charged $50 for the appointment and the hylaronidase and said if I need more at the next appointment there would not be a charge. I am so happy I went for this second opinion.

I was looking for fuller lips and to reduce my laugh lines. I also had Botox in my forehead. This was my first time having the injections and I went to a reputable plastic surgery center and the procedure was done by a PA with more than 5 years experience.
The Botox went well and I'm happy with my results.
As you can see from the pictures, the lip filler, Restalyne, was lumpy and uneven. There is a dent at the front of my top lip where no filler was placed and the border of my lip is uneven. Also, some filler tracked upwards towards my nose. This is barely visible but I think it adds to the unevenness of the lip line. There is a size discrepancy, my top lip is too large for my bottom.
After my recheck the PA acknowledged my issues and added some hyaluronidase to the fuller right side. She said to even the lips out I would need to purchase another vial of Restalyne.
I opted not to at this time because I am leaving for a vacay in two days and tbh I just don't feel confident in her injection technique.
Restalyne Lift was used for the nasolabial folds and it is Behind the lines and imo does not make the lines less noticeable.
When I return home, with my uneven lips:( I will seek a second opinion and likely have the PA dissolve the remaining filler.
My lips are fuller and I actually like the fuller side but I can't give this PA another $600 when I'm not confident in her technique. I would feel differently if I liked my lips but Just wanted more fullness, I feel it's unfair to ask me to buy anther vial of Restalyne when her injections left me with uneven lips!!
