A Caring and Experienced Doctor

Dr. McClung performed my MtF Vaginoplasty this past March. I started meeting with him last year, and he and his team did a great job in explaining what the surgery would be, preparation for it, and helping point me to the resources to gather the necessary gender confirmation letters for my insurance. They've done a great job working with my insurance for me to ensure coverage and the surgery went by without a hitch!

Dr. McClung himself is extremely calm and has a soothing, gentle voice that helps relieve some anxieties. My family were impressed with how detailed he was when he came out after the surgery to give them the recap and confirm everything went fine (my sister is a nurse and claimed that a lot of doctors she deals with don't go into nearly as much detail, and it was helpful).

Additionally, the staff in his office have been nothing but absolutely polite, and Alicia saved my anxiety during my recovery. She served as the on-call support in case there were any issues during recovery once I got home and, with my anxiety spiking I had thought I'd accidentally removed my catheter. I hadn't, but she helped walk me through how to confirm and calmed me down - at about 4 AM. She did this with no complaints and I can't thank her enough for that!

(Note my total cost was after insurance coverage; I'm not sure what the actual cost ended up being pre-insurance but it was substantial)
