WORTH IT$1,500
After a great deal of research on this site and in Youtube, I made an appointment to see Dr. Oakley Smith here in Toronto, and saw him yesterday afternoon. I came very well versed on fillers, non-surgical vs. surgical, possible range of expenses, my having to use a CPAP machine at night (nostril model); and of course what I hated about my nose, especially as I get older and the underlying flesh "melts" away showing the bony "hump" structure underneath.
Dr. Smith answered all my questions very clearly, honestly and realistically. He agreed that I was a good candidate for a non-surgical nose job. I explained I wanted to camouflage the hump, and gave as an example one of his patients shown on this site. Dr. Smith examined my nose (inside), and saw only a very mild deviation. Then, to my surprise and delight, he asked me if I wanted to do it RIGHT THEN, and I said, "Let's go for it." He checked his schedule, had his assistant take "before" photos face-on, 3/4 and profile, and then he did the injecting. Then the assistant took "after" photos.
The pain was almost nil. At the end I saw my profile, which is now straight, and I am delighted. (If he had raised the radix any more, I would have ended up looking like a Star Trek Romulan.)
I am thrilled and delighted. The initial "job" was not cheap, but the followups (maybe once every 6-9 months) for "top-ups" are only $400 a shot, and $800 a year is within my budget. No downtime; just be careful with glasses for 5 days or so.
These are my own photos (for now).

Wow! Looks great! Can't believe that's just filler. Dr. Smith is a great surgeon. He did a revision rhino on me after several ones from a previous surgeon went bad. I still need to update my review and post pics. It's been awhile and is due for an update.

Wow! You look fantastic! I would never have seen your original nose and said "needs nose job," but I totally get how terrific the difference is. I have a much worse nose than yours, and the tip is getting bulbous now that I age (at 52). I feel like my nostrils are big enough to insert marbles in but I don't dare try for fear of depressing myself even further. Thank you for sharing your experience. You look like a movie star (and not one from another planet).

Wow! You are too kind. I'm glad I didn't end up looking Romulan. Time for a top-up soon. Are you going to have work done?

Hi Eslmeister,
Has the filler completely worn off now? Does your nose look like it originally did before the filler?
