After a great deal of research on this site and in...

After a great deal of research on this site and in Youtube, I made an appointment to see Dr. Oakley Smith here in Toronto, and saw him yesterday afternoon. I came very well versed on fillers, non-surgical vs. surgical, possible range of expenses, my having to use a CPAP machine at night (nostril model); and of course what I hated about my nose, especially as I get older and the underlying flesh "melts" away showing the bony "hump" structure underneath. Dr. Smith answered all my questions very clearly, honestly and realistically. He agreed that I was a good candidate for a non-surgical nose job. I explained I wanted to camouflage the hump, and gave as an example one of his patients shown on this site. Dr. Smith examined my nose (inside), and saw only a very mild deviation. Then, to my surprise and delight, he asked me if I wanted to do it RIGHT THEN, and I said, "Let's go for it." He checked his schedule, had his assistant take "before" photos face-on, 3/4 and profile, and then he did the injecting. Then the assistant took "after" photos. The pain was almost nil. At the end I saw my profile, which is now straight, and I am delighted. (If he had raised the radix any more, I would have ended up looking like a Star Trek Romulan.) I am thrilled and delighted. The initial "job" was not cheap, but the followups (maybe once every 6-9 months) for "top-ups" are only $400 a shot, and $800 a year is within my budget. No downtime; just be careful with glasses for 5 days or so. These are my own photos (for now).

See above. Dr. Smith does ONLY rhinoplasties, and is very clear about the differences among the many fillers. He uses only the most trustworthy that he has used for years (one of the Juvederms). Silicone is not permitted in plastic surgery in Ontario.
