I'm a day post- op. I've been waiting for this day for ages. I've been creeping on realself everyday for over a month, researching, reading other reviews anticipating for my surgery. Initially I wanted my surgery to this Dec (so I can use the holidays as down time). However Dr. J was not available. I tried cool sculpting and no real results after 1 session. Then Oct 20, 2017 opened up. I decided to go for it. Then I was advised Oct 17, 2017 opened up. I said yes!
I watched youtube videos and there was this one girl who was awake during general anesthesia. I was so paranoid. Luckily after the put the mask on me, I knocked out. When I woke up, I was tired but feeling ok. The nurse gave me some meds. She wheeled me back to my room where my fiance was waiting for me.
I had a drain after my lipo. I was told that 4 litres of the solution/fat was taken out. Small lipo procedures (Im told) do not need drains. But mine did.
Bruises (I'm told travel down). My bum is all bruised. I'm told to keep my compression garment on. It's snug and uncomfortable.
Last night at 4 am. I woke up and was nauseous due to the meds. I puked. Then today at around noon when I left the hotel and got back to my hotel, I felt nauseous again and puked. I believe it's due to the oxy/meds. I switched over to Tylenol 3.
Yesterday I was concerned at the blooding dressing. I was told that was normal.
Today I slept and now I'm having pea soup and watching game of thrones.
I'm told to do self massages 5 x a day. It really hurts to do it but I try (to avoid lumps and bumps).
Will keep you posted on my progress. Today is day 1 of post-op.
Also my doctor counselled me on a mini tummy tuck after I have kids. He said I'll have loose skin since he took out so much fat.

After you woke up, how did you feel? Were you able to hold a conversation or did you feel all loopy? I'm going under and by the time I get home a few hours later, I don't want to appear as if I'm drugged up because of others who do not know I'm having it done. Is that impossible to pull off?

Day 3 Post- Op

superbobelly
Day 2 Post- Op I ended up getting my nails done (down the street). Had to have clear polish for the operation. Felt so good getting my shellac mani again. I had my hair washed. This no showering business really blows.

I found night of day 2 post-op, my left bum (the undrained side) was way more swollen. Nurse advised to get some warm compresses. I ordered some hot packs from amazon prime to be delivered today.

Day 3 is today. Still swollen. Less sore. But feeling weak. When to get some soup and crackers.

Last night had soup, crackers, gingerale, rice, fish.

I can't wait to get this drain out.

Popped an oxy at 4 am, 8 a.m., I'm due for another. Maybe I'll try tylenol 3 next.

Day 4 post-op.

Had my surgery on Tuesday and it's Saturday now. Found myself needing to take Oxy to alleviate the pain receptors/ shooting pain. Bruises are getting better. Draining about the same as yesterday but way less compared to 1st night. I think I was emptying 20 cc every half hour.
