25 Year Old with Stubborn Love Handles - Toronto, ON

I'm pretty a pretty thin person (5'7, 115lb) but I gained all of my weight in my love handles and no amount of diet and exercise has ever made them go away. I had been considering liposuction for a while and decided to go with Dr. Neinstein since he had so many positive reviews on Realself. From the get go he was very professional and obliged my constant questions and helped ease my anxiety about the procedure. He does a liposuction procedure called smart lipo which is similar to power assisted tumescent lipo but with an added third step of evening out the remaining layer of fat at the end. I ended up having liposuction my love handles and getting a bit on my stomach as well, but really he just smoothed out the fat in this area to improve the overall look. My recovery was very quick, I was off of pain meds after three days, and I had very minimal bruising. However, since I'm already thin I can't really see a difference yet because of the swelling. To be honest, I'm not sure if enough fat was removed from my sides but Dr. Neinstein has told me that with time I will be happy with the result once I fully heal (about three months). Dr. Neinstein has been very supportive and always answers emails quickly. My only advice to anyone considering this procedure is (just like any type plastic surgery) make sure you and your surgeon are one the same page and you are very clear what you want the end results to look like - and don't expect to look the way you want right away because your body will need time to heal.

So it's been about three weeks and I'm starting to really notice a difference. All of pants fit much better around the waistline, and my overall shape has dramatically improved. I woke up this morning it's starting to look like I have abs! I'm posting my before pictures here and I'm going to post my one month pictures when I get them taken.

There has been absolutely no problems so far, that a lot of people seem to find with lipo like waviness or bumps. There are some bumps underneath the skin that you can feel but not see which is part of the healing process, and they are slowly resolving themselves. The scars are very tiny and healing well - I have five in total (two in the front, two in the back and one in my bellybutton)

I'm a generally kind of an anxious person and Dr. Neinstein deserves a medal for how great he's been with me. He's accommodated appointment times, answered emails quickly and generally been very understanding throughout this whole process. You can tell he really loves his job and wants you to have a great result.

I'm so happy I went with safelipo - I think the last step which involves smoothing out the fat is really what gives the great result.
