I was introduced to Dr.Plant through Realself.I wanted an undereye filler for my eyebags.Dr.Plant injected 2 injections of Emerval .Immediately,it seemed right But after 24 hours there was too much filler apparent with undereye bumps and blue veins undereyes becoming obvious.thinking it was just the swelling post injection,i waited for a week before asking him with pictures .i was alerted as it was not a nice sight and even makeup couldnt cover those lumps endereye.i went there a week or so later.Dr.Plant asked me to wait more .I was quite nervous,i contacted after a month and he advised Hyaluronidase inj.But he had never done it before so i was suggested a referral to Compass dermatology clinic in toronto,on my request as I wasnt comfortable to be the 1st one getting it from him. I was very disappointed with my appearance and the results of fillers. Now a days,i am going to Dr.Carroll in compass dermatology and had 2 visits for Hyaluronidase. The 3rd visit is in February. Its been a waste of money and cause of anxiety for me.i was expecting to hide my eyebags. But instead i have to worry about the swellings under my eyes ,not to mention the extra money i am spending for Hyaluronidase .Further, laser is suggested to correct prominent undereye veins post filler injections. It has been diagnosed by dr.to be too much filler injected. These 2 stars are for the courteous staff who emails back and responds promptly and also for referring me to Compass Dermatology.

I had the same experience with Dr.Plant. It's been over 6 months and I still have a huge lump under my left eye. When I went back to see Dr. Plant he refused the acknowledge his mistakes but eventually did and offered me 10% off my next treatment (like I would work with him again). Funny because my mom still to this day asks me what is under my eye. Wish he could have offered a better more cost effective solution to fix his bad work!!!

Thanks for sharing your story. I hope you'll find support within the community.

A good plastic surgeon will use the correct products. I had juvederm with similar bad experience. I had to have it removed. The I went to Peter Troung in Fresno (I live in Arkansas). He used bolotero and I am very happy with the result. It is softer and fills in dips. It does not sit as lumps under skin. It can be injected very close to the surface.
Do you know how long it lasts?
Dr. troung said about 18 months. It has been 9 months and I do see some decrease. That would be right, about half gone. I am anxious to go back for a refresh!
I had a similar experience. I didn't go to a doctor, but the best most skilled filler "expert" at a beauty office type thing which is popular with the celebrities in my country. I really thought I was going to the best person at the best place and I still ended up with swelling due to too much product as well as blue veins and slight pain months after. I also ended up with indentations from fat atrophy I guess where the needle went into my cheek, although I'm sure that's about my body just having some anomaly and would have happened with any doctor. Because of the swelling I feel like my skin stretched and got thinner and have now gotten crepey and started wrinkling in a way it hasn't before, and I'm only 27. All in all I feel like this procedure aged me and I will have a lot of new issues to think about. Hope your eye will look good soon enough and I'm sorry you had to waste a lot of money. We're in the same boat!
