Day 12 - P2
WORTH IT$16,250
Also a quick note that I forgot to mention, I feel like a lot of people that I've spoken to or have asked me about the surgery has inquired about the price. I feel as if price shouldn't matter while having this type of surgery, Its based on the doctor's portfolio and his mannerisms during the consultation and the staff that surrounds the clinic.
I knew that I chose someone who was unbelievably talented but what I also realized soon after was that the staff are all gifted and incredible. I wouldn't have changed a single thing.
-- I posted this in the comment section of my prior update but I feel as if it is too important not to be shown as an update.

Day 12
I am feeling fantastic, I had a friend come over this past weekend and I spent minimum five hours every day until today walking, I would take breaks if I needed to and I always listened to my body and would stop if I felt strained but I never did. The only issue that I had was adjusting my binder since It was hot in Toronto and sweat isn't pretty. My main issue that I was struggling with recently was the pain in my back from not being active and I feel like that has dissipated from the amount of walking that I was doing, I still do not walk in a straight position and I can't even if I tried so I look like the hunchback of notre dame but eventually that will pass.
I still have my drains in and walking around in public with them in my pockets was an odd feeling, One of them even accidentally opened but luckily I was wearing black sweatpants so I'm thankful for that. I get them out tomorrow morning and I am so unbelievably excited for that, mostly because two days after I can shower. Sponge baths are awful. I do not recommend.
I feel like the current progress of my healing is good, I like where the scars are and how they look and how I my body is currently shaped. I'm still swollen and am completely numb from my upper bellybutton down but I like to think that it means I am not at my full potential in regards to how I'll look down the road.
If I could make some recommendations for anything thinking of the surgery it would be the following.. Don't over indulge too much, treat yourself to a few cheat meals but stay on a consistent diet during recovery, lots of fluids and protein. If you are coughing or coming off of a cold but have not fully recovered then TRY YOUR BEST to postpone the surgery, I have never felt more pain then I felt while having coughing fits during recovery or even having to really clear my throat. And the last thing I would say would be to not over analyze how you look as of yet, swelling and fluid retention plays a huge part while you recover and you won't see the end results for months afterwards, keep a positive mind set and just focus on recovery.
I asked the surgeon for a picture of my skin after it was removed from my body and I will post that if I can get it for a giggles sake and I'll let you guys know how I felt during the drain removal process which shouldn't be that hard. Stitches come out the following week and after that I'll basically be finished and only have to go in for followups every three months or so.
Until next time,
Ryan

Day 6, Post op.
I had a follow up with my doctors yesterday and had my staples removed, I was told that the incisions are healing nicely which was nice to hear. I even was told that I might be able to get my (two) drains removed this Friday if the draining levels stay consistent.
Overall, I feel a lot better than I did a few days ago. I can move around the house, I am starting to regain some of my posture and best of all I am able to sit which means I don't need to stay in a bed all day which is a blessing since I felt trapped.
I had a cold prior to the surgery and I still get coughing fits which can cause some intense pain but I am pushing through and hopefully I'll stop coughing as much as time goes on. I'm really liking what I see so far, I hope that my flanks are exaggerated due to swelling but they look fine regardless.
I know that the 'true results' are not shown for up to six months after the operation due to swelling but I am honestly happy with what I see now and when the swelling goes down and nothing changes, I wouldn't be that bothered.
Worse thing right now is the fact that I can't shower.
Until next time,
Ryan

Awesome bro! Got your message, thanks for reaching out. Just read your story. Much in the same.
Even you daily journal here there things you say so similar to mine.
Crazy how there's a bunch of us doing the save exact thing, feeling the same way.
Get that shower.. It helps.
I feel the same about my flank. I think the Dr could have done more to me :/
I do know I don't want the too go through this again. 1st was needed, I would do 1 time again but 2 no no no.
I feel you on that coughing.... I sneezed and holy [RS bleep] I thought I opened the wound. Burned for an hour straight.
Do you feel like it's hard to tell when you're full from eating food?

I feel like right now the results are not accurately shown, I can still feel swelling on my entire lower portion on my body especially my front mostly because I can physically see a bump on my left side. -- I would say that the outcome of the procedure isn't fully shown until I can at least start feeling the skin around my body since I still feel absolutely nothing.
I also agree with you when you say that you wouldn't do it again, I have a revision surgery that was included in my price which takes places four months, Its mostly for scar treatment but I know that I would never get my legs, arms or any other part of my body done mostly due to not needing it but also due to the pain that I've gone through.
Coughing though man, I would cough fifty times a day because I just couldn't stop and the pain would go from nothing to feeling like I was stabbed which I still experience as of now; I think the best advice that I can ever give would be to never in your life have this type of surgery while recovering from a cold, or anything that causes coughing fits.
Honestly, I haven't really been on point with my diet or anything since I've had the surgery mostly due to being an emotional eater and indulging helped with the recovery in a way; I'd keep a rough mental note of how many calories I was consuming and stopped when I felt like I was within the 2000 range.
I read your posts from earlier and I think that right now both of our ending results are masked by swelling and fluid retention which does play a part in the aesthetic of the surgery, I wouldn't start looking into other treatments until at least the three month mark.
Cheers man,
