Ideal saline implant was 3000 plus more than the silicone or regular saline and I'm not sure if it looks or feels comparable to silicone as advertised. They are very firm. I beleive it is the safety profile of this implant that makes it more expensive. Time will tell. 415cc ideal implant I went from 36a to 34dd . 3 months post OP

I had the ideals put in back in January of 2018...they do eventually soften up a great deal. It took forever! They do seem pretty firm at first (especially on my back). But by the 7th-9th month they really softened for me...at least my tissues around the implants did. Finally! They are squishy!! But unfortunately I have to have a revision because my tissues gave way a bit at the fold (interior sutures) and they look a bit bottom heavy now—borderline bottoming out :( I am going up a centimetre wider in diameter this next time (in three days!!) during the revision, because ps didn’t match my bwd enough. I sure hope I don’t have to wait another 7 months for my breasts to soften again!! I’ll just have to remind myself to be patient!

Hi redheadedmama- Do you know what your bwd was and what the implant diameter was? Good luck with your revision!

My bwd was almost 14 cm on one side and 13 cm on the other. PS initially used the 370 ideal size filled to 365 ccs on one side and 385 on he other. But these did not fill my breast width enough (too narrow). In the revision surgery PS used the 440s filled to 465 ccs and 485 ccs (and extra 100 ccs in each breast). It has been 6 months now and the one breast bottomed out again—because PS underestimated and didn’t put the same amount of suturing in during revision, as he did with the other breast. He regrets that. So another revision scheduled :( Six months out and the breasts look nice, but feel too firm for my liking. I think women may forget what real breasts feel like—or don’t care? But I think silicone would be much softer and real feeling. Maybe my bwd is too wide for the Ideals. But I spoke with Dr. Hammas directly, and he assured me the implants would be just fine! And he is the doctor who invented the implants! So?
