I had been contemplating having this surgery for over ten years now. Back then I went for a consultation, but the surgery wasn’t that well known, nor was it performed very often, and the technique was less than perfected. Thank God I never went through with it, because I have no idea what I would’ve encountered being operated on with a doctor who seemed not to really understand the intricacies of how to perform the procedure effectively and safely.
Thank the Lord I found Dr. Jugenberg.

It took a lot of contemplation and mental strength to finally muster up the courage to not only decide within me that I was going to do this, but to save up the money and actually make the phone call to go in for the consultation. Dr. Jugenberg wasn’t the first doctor that I went to see, but he was definitely the last. Once I did my research, went in for my consultation, spoke to the friendly staff at the Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute, and met with the doctor I knew that it was a done deal.

There was absolutely no pressure from any of the staff there, in fact Kim, the Managing Director, was lovely. She didn’t rush me, she took the time to answer all of my questions, showed me pictures of Jugenberg’s work, listened to what I wanted, and gave me realistic expectations while never making me feel that I had to make up my mind in a hurry. I paid my deposit of $1000, and booked my surgery date, which was very exciting.

The surgery day went smooth. Once I signed in at the Royal York hotel and dropped my bags in at the hotel room, (the one-night stay is included in the cost of the procedure), my husband and I went down to the clinic to go over all of the details, including prepping, and speaking with the anesthesiologist. I was brought into the operating room and of course I was nervous, you pretty much hand over your life to a team of medical experts in that moment. But I knew that I was in the right hands and the overall vibe was relaxing and it helped me to be calm. Once the anesthesia was in, I was out. The next time I awoke I was in the hotel room, but I was so drowsy that I apparently just passed out on the bed.

Hubby stayed with me the whole time at the hotel, and the nurse checked on me the following morning, When I finally got the strength to get up and go to the bathroom, I looked in the mirror and whoa, my butt was huge and high! Hubby commented that I looked like a cartoon, but I wasn’t too worried, I knew it was all part of the process of this procedure. He overstuff’s the fat because it’s expected that you will lose up to half, sometimes even more within the next several weeks.

To be honest, recovery is very difficult, especially not being able to sit or lay on your bum for 2-3 weeks, and from the pain from the lipo. But if you want to keep most of the fat that will survive, it’s a sacrifice that you must be willing to make, and it definitely is worth the sacrifice to have the body that you paid for. I stayed off my butt for about three weeks, and today four months later, I don’t regret a thing. My body is banging, my butt is round and juicy, my tummy is flat with no more love handles, and I get compliments from so many people, men and women; and for those who don’t say anything, their look says it all.

Having this surgery has given me the confidence that I lost, and since I’ve never had an ass like this before, I feel super sexy in whatever I have on, or don’t have on. And to date I have only lost 2.5 inches since I first had the surgery, and I am now steadily at 43.5 inches, sometimes 44 inches depending on what I’ve consumed during the day.

For those of you thinking about doing this procedure, I will say this. Do your due diligence by researching as much as you can about not only the surgery, but the doctor who will be operating on you. Board certified doctors are a must in this procedure if you want not only the best results, but the safest process. Be as healthy as possible, cut out alcohol and smoking which will only kill the transferred fat that much faster, and it will slow down your recovery. Be realistic about the expectations for your body, and be patient, patient, patient, which is a definite must! My body literally transformed over the course of time, it wasn’t an instant fix. The transferred fat to your hips and ass will mold and take on a natural shape that will have people turning heads if you follow your doctor’s instructions, take your prescribed medication, and wear your binder for as long as possible. I don’t even need my binder anymore as all the swelling has completely subsided, but I still like to put it on at night sometimes.
If you want a Toronto plastic surgeon, go with Jugenberg and his wonderful team. Although I can’t guarantee that your results will be as wonderful as mine are, if you are going to have this surgery in Toronto, have it done with the most efficient and effective plastic surgeon Toronto has to offer.
