I hate my belly button!!

9 months later and my belly button looks like a hole. My toddler keeps asking me what happened? It looks awful. I plan to have a belly button revision next year. My Mom and Sister also thinks it looks hideous. I thought I'd be able to wear a crop top after the surgery. That's not going to happen. I highly recommend when you're choosing your surgeon, look at their belly buttons. I knew I didn't like the way my surgeon did belly buttons, but they didn't look this bad. I thought I could deal with it. Most of hers look like slits. Mine looks like a damn hole. Like how? I'm so disappointed. It was between her and Dr. Mike Song. I should've gone to him.

I would wait it out before getting a belly button revision. It looks like the scar is swollen? When I had my c-section scar, it got raised and bumpy for a while until it smoothed out. Maybe this could be happening also???

Thanks. I'm going to wait it out. If it still looks like this about 6 more months from now, I'll get a revision.

How's your belly button?

It still looks like a hole. I hate it. My scar has keloid. Not the results I expected.

Week 8 update - It was worth it!

Plucky3118
I feel great! It was completely worth the money and time! Healing is going great! I'm about to workout at home, mainly doing cardio. I'm able to pickup my toddler. Again, I need to eat healthier, especially while being at home all day due to the Coronavirus stay at home order in Georgia. Here's an update on my scar. I'm using silagen silicone strips given to me by my doctor for my scar.

You look amazing! Thank you for your post. Can’t wait until my swelling goes down, trying to be patient.

Thank you. OMG! The swelling is the most annoying part. I'm trying to have patience also. We will get through this!

Yes, your scar looks great! Due to the Coronavirus my surgery has been moved from the 6th of April to the 27th 7 days after my birthday. Now with the additional extension until the 30th I am praying it will not change AGAIN.

Mine was the 1st of this month. No would've been the perfect time to heal since we can't go outside lol. But I was scared my immune system wouldn't be as strong due to surgery, leaving me susceptible to catching tht or anything else. Better safe than sorry right? It sure would've been nice to have gotten it over with though. I'm so anxious to see my results!

Thank you! Sorry to hear your surgery got moved, but at least it's after your birthday. Mine was before, so I didn't celebrate because I was in recovery.

Thank you! They moved it again and now June 15th. I agree this would have been a great time. My original surgery date of the 6th was schedule pre-Coronavirus. I timed it before my birthday and before summer to be healed for the summer. It is paid for just a waiting game at this point. This is major surgery. I also know everything happens for a reason and safety first.

Yes your healing very well. Looking good!

It has been hard with this all going on to eat right
April 10, 2020
Very hard. I'm trying to be better. I'm using MyFitnessPal to monitor what I'm eating, but still allowing myself treats. It helps with balance. I'm exercising at least 3 times a week. There are a bunch of gym streaming free workouts on IG.

Week 7

Plucky3118
I forgot to post for week 6. It's been crazy with Coronavirus preparedness activities. On week 6 I was officially cleared to workout and resume all normal activities. I no longer have to wear my compression garments. Only thing I wear now is a scar minimizing strip. I'm to wear that for 8 weeks. My belly is still strange looking to me. Doctor says I don't have a keloid, but to put my finger inside it and massage. My hole is so small a marble won't fit inside. Sigh. I'm still very swollen and bloated. I admit I also haven't been eating the best diet. I plan to start home workouts since the gyms are now closed because of Coronavirus. Other than that all is well.
