Revision Surgery - Mexico, MX

I went to LTVSG in Tjuana, Mexico. Dr Maytorena at the JLP Surgery Center. Let me start by saying this place is terrific. I had a previous gastric bypass done back in 1996 by a USA Doctor. About 9 years ago my weight started coming back on. Before I had my gastric bypass I was weighing 350 lbs. After my bypass I got down to 150 lbs. So I went to my regular doctors and had X-rays done and discovered a row of my staples had come out. My family has a history of high blood pressure, gout, thyroid and cancer. So with my weight coming back on it scared me something awful. So I wanted to have my gastric bypass repaired. But my insurance refused to pay for any revision surgery. So I started researching an I came across LTVSG in Mexico. The reason I went with them was because of the price. And they said they do revision surgery. And I'm so glad I did, because Dr Maytorena is a miracle surgeon. I had complications with my surgery because of so much scar tissue from my previous gastric bypass. I had a leak and infection. But Dr M and his staff took such excellent care of me. They had to cut me open to get to the leak but I already had a long scar on my stomach from my previous gastric bypass so I didn't care not one bit. They were so caring. From his nurses, his extra doctors, his anesthesiologist everyone of his staff was so great!!! These people treated me as though I was family. They made sure that I was never in any pain. His nurses took care of me 24 hours. The facility was clean. Not to mention they gave me cable tv. Dr Maytorena came by on a regular basis just to check in to see if I was healing ok. I can't give this man enough thanks or praises for doing such a wonderful job on me. And his staff. When I went in for surgery I was weighing 250 lbs and now I weigh 196lbs. And I'm steadily losing weight everyday. My goal is to get back down to 150lbs. I would suggest anyone who's looking to get a sleeve done go to Dr M, they are going to take excellent care of you. Not to mention don't worry if you don't speak Spanish because his staff does know English. I highly recommend LTVSG. I'm very satisfied with my results.
