WORTH IT
What motivated me to get lipo was the fact that I have been working out for a couple of years and hadn’t seen real results on my abdominal area. I have a two year old son and luckily wth the help of breast feeding and exercise I was able to loose excess weight. Currently I am 4 pounds lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight. I lost a lot of weight with breastfeeding. I was stick skinny! Practically No body fat ): Once I stopped breastfeeding I started gaining weight especially in my abdominal area. But not like pre-prego. My tummy was out and I would get bloated a lot. Anyways I had to get an umbilical hernia repaired so I interviewed three doctors and was told I could get a combo plastic surgery and my hernia repaired at the same time.
I had lipo on stomache, flanks, back, inner thighs, and had fat transferred to my butt. I also had breast augmentation and hernia repaired. At first PS said I didn’t have much flabby skin to highly recommend a tummy tuck. But as the weeks passed he said u should’ve had the TT. I responded well if you really thought I needed it you should have pushed me to doing so. (I didn’t want to because of the scar plus he thought I wouldn’t have too much excess skin).
My recovery felt as if it was slow.
Throughout my recovery I had 10 post op massages, 6 sessions of carboxitherapy because I had hardened areas on my pelvic area and abs.
It took me past 2 months to feel better. 3 months to feel that the nerve ends on my skin were reconnecting. At 4 months I still feel some areas on my abs hardened but not as much as the first month. And on my flanks I still feel a little tiny bit of numbness sensation from lipo.
At 3 months post-op my PS said that he wants to schedule a redo and this time perform Tummy tuck and perhaps a bit of Lipo on certain areas. This due to the fact that I have skin discoloration on the lower part of my abs. This has been there practically since Day One and has reduced but not 100% percent. He also noticed that there is a scar type on that area and thinks it will not go away. So he doesn’t like that my skin is loose so would feel better about his work if we just perform a TT.
He won’t be charging me so I can afford that recommendation from my PS. I have postponed my surgery three times because husband is ill. And I wanted to give my body more time to heal. Now my date for TT is 3/21/18 so I would like your feedback fellow Plastic surgeons. Is it too soon for a Tummy tuck? And do you think the purple stains on my abs would go away with time assuming I didn’t undergo TT.
As you can see thru the pictures I don’t have a small waste. And never had one LOL. My waste size is 29 inches, hips are 40 inches and chest is 36. I do like that my stomache is smaller and don’t have those love handles bothering me. I feel much more confident when wearing tight clothing. However thinking about bikini season my skin is loose on my abs and notice my skin folds loosely when sitting so I think I will most likely feel embarrassed. My stomache is not flat. That bump did not go away as I wanted to. I assume is due to pregnancy.
