2 weeks post-op

My pain is very minimal. The only issue is I've had an allergic reaction to something. So the tiny red bumps with an annoying itch has taken the focus off my girls. I think in healing well, one more week my stitches will be removed. They are a little annoying, but other than that all good. Some swelling has went down, hoping a lot more to go.

Today makes 1 week post-op for breast reduction...

Today makes 1 week post-op for breast reduction surgery & Lipo in my arm, back, & flanks with the wonderful Dr. Pantoja!

Going into surgery, I did not have any anxiety. The Doctor and his staff do a wonderful job of making you feel comfortable & are very knowledgeable about the process. I remember waking up during the process and seeing Dr. P at work. Almost immediately the cardiologist requested that I closed my eyes and I obeyed. I woke up with an annoying machine on my legs helping to prevent blood clots. I was not in pain but extremly emotional in a good way. This was the first time, I was able to lay on my back without feeling shortness of breath. I did not know that it wasn't normal to feel that way while sleeping on my back. I didn't sleep much, I was pain free and full of excitement. I couldn't wait to see my results.

When morning came, I was able to get up and was a mess. I hated the draining part. I was wet and really just wanted a shower or a wash up but I wasn't allowed. The hardest part was using the rest room after the removal of the catheter.

I am extremly stiff and sitting down and getting up is the hardest part. I prefer to just stand all day everyday but I get tired and want to rest. DAY 4, (Sunday) I removed my drains (3). I am not able to get my Breast wet so taking a bath is prohibited & a backwards shower is the hardest thing to do but I manage. I WEAR MY GARMENT and COMPRESSION bra 24/7. I have two, so I change it daily. I take all my medicine and put vitamin E on my lipo scabs.
My pain level in my breast area is about a 4 but the areas that I had lipo is a 9. I think the nerves are waking up and it feels like I am on fire. I am extremly sore.

To my surprise I saw my boobs and saw that they are just as big as b4 the surgery. Although I feel the difference, I did not knw I wouldn't see a difference immediately. The Doctor and his assistant explained that I am extremly swollen and I should go down about 30%. But what does 30% decrease look like? I am also very strict with my diet with the little appetite I have. I force myself to eat a salad a day and drink water. That's about as much as I can endure. My appetite was not like this prior to surgery.

So, this has been my experience and I look forward to lesser pain and reduced swelling in weeks to come.
