I went to Tijuana, MX to see Dr. Laura Carmina...
I went to Tijuana, MX to see Dr. Laura Carmina Cardenas for fillers. This was a great decision! I think I made an excellent choice as far as my Dr. is concerned. Dr. Laura Carmina Cardenas is an amazing Dr!
Where do I start? This was my first time in MX. I definitely regret driving my own car in MX. Driving is difficult. No one follows the traffic lights, a lot of streets don't have signs, there are crazy three lane no signal roundabouts. I was unfortunately rear ended in one of these. My entire bumper is destroyed ????. So I strongly suggest you take advantage of their car service, I know I will in the future.
I got Botox in my forehead & in my frown lines.I also had Botox in my temples & jaw for my headaches & teeth grinding. I also had volbella in my lips & in my under eye hollows. The price is the total cost for all 3 procedures. The Botox alone is $350.00 & all other fillers are $450.00(note:all fillers on $100 off on Thursdays. I also got a free facial for getting Botox in the month of April. I suggest you call and inquire about their promotions before scheduling your procedure)
1) The Botox in my jaw & temples.
I am so incredibly happy with my results???? The difference is unreal. I've gone from constant tension & pain in my temples and jaw to being PAIN FREE! I am totally amazed at the difference. I can't believe the phonomeal difference! I no longer have tension headaches, so far no migraines, and no jaw pain. I can't thank the Dr. enough for this.
The pain was minimal. It mostly feels uncomfortable (a long needle inserted into a thick tense jaw muscle ???? you do the math!) Cringe inducing, but not too painful.
If you are in pain and you are considering this procedure, stop considering! This alone was worth the trip.
2) I'm still awaiting my final results from the Botox in my forehead & frown lines. The Dr. said it will take up to two weeks to see my final results. I can't wait!
3) LIPS ????
I was beyond impressed with the job the Dr. did on my lips.
I have had juvederm injected by Kylie's super pricey & famous Dr. in Beverly Hills last year. It cost me $2500.00 (????) It was extremely painful. My lips were so bruised, painful, & swollen. They didn't look normal for 3 weeks and my lips never looked full or pouty.
My experience with Dr. Cardenas was completely different. She numbed my lips with ice and used a syringe with lidocaine. I had NO PAIN at all. The results were beautiful subtle & pouty lips. After seeing what a great job she did on my lips, I opted to get volbella in my tear troughs as well & I'm so glad I did!
4) Volbella in my under eye hollows.
I was hesitant to get this done, as I have seen a lot of people with fillers in this area and it doesn't always look good. Often times you can see where it was injected. This is not the case with Dr Cardenas, she did an excellent job. You cannot see where it was injected. I'm happy to say that I no longer have the super sunken look I had before. I look so refreshed, I'm SO happy that I went ahead with this procedure. This was painless.
I was throughly impressed by Dr. Cardenas. She is cool, calm, confident & knowledgeable. She took her time explaining everything in detail. I didn't feel rushed at all, I felt like I had all the time in the world to ask her questions. She listen to all my concerns and made me feel completely comfortable. I have total trust in her skilled hands and artistic eye.
Her staff are all wonderful. Everyone is so sweet, I felt like I was very well cared for throughout my visit. An extra special thanks to Rocio who went out of her way to give me directions and even drew me a map. Thanks Rocio ????
The building is beautifully designed and spotless from top to bottom. Her office is completely secure. You have to give a photo ID in order to access the building. You also need an escort to access her clinics' floor.
My only complaint is about the payment process. I had asked on the phone prior to my appointment if there was a charge to use my credit card and I was told no. Then when I went to pay, I was told there is a 3% surcharge on cc charges. A 3% charge on $1075 is significant. I did ask specifically if there was a charge prior to my visit in order to avoid a situation like this. Aside from the surcharge, I can honestly say that I couldn't be happier with my decision to go to MX. I will be returning in the summer for a TT w lipo & fat transfer. I can't wait!
