I would say no less than 8 days because they remove the gauze after 3 days and the cast on the 5th. We were there for 10 days.

Mine was closed with alar reduction. I originally found him years ago when I was first looking to get liposuction of some stubborn fat pockets. After researching for a long time through medical tourism sites I kept coming back to him. Fast forward I researched other doctors (including here) about rhinoplasty and I was unhappy with the consultations. I either didn't feel a good vibe or Dr.'s would tell me what they will do instead of what I wanted. Then I thought of Dr. Guitierrez again and I decide to look up his rhinoplasty credentials I saw that rhinoplasty was one of his specialties. Even more importantly when I talked to him I could tell he was truly interested in what I wanted. He was the only Dr. that confirmed that he knew what I meant by keeping the roundness of my nose tip and not giving me a slim pointed tip. He recognized I wasn't the average rhinoplasty patient at least that's how I felt which was important. He told me after surgery that I have the exact nose I asked for and he was right. I did feel like I was taking a risk because he doesn't have a lot of experience with African Americans in particular but he has done a lot of non-Caucasians. That and his attention to detail let me know that he was definitely the best choice. Most of my family members were not happy! lol we kept it a secret from the skeptical ones all the way up to 2 weeks before surgery. My brothers were all against it and telling me I was going to look like Michael Jackson. They gave me a harder time than my sister because it was my face. I understood though because they were just scared for us. But I always trust my gut and instincts and I never got a bad feeling. I put all my trust in God and prayed about it and it all went very well. Now all my family members are happy and relieved, they like it :-)

**example of what I mean when I say pointy and slim would be Janet Jackson...she is beautiful and I love her but her nose is what I wanted to make sure I didn't get :-/

Preach. Your nose is perfect because it looks natural and maintains your unique.

The procedure was 3,500.00 plus 75.00 in meds. The travel around 900.00 we stayed in San Diego for 10 days. so about 4,400.00 total. I cant remember the travel exactly now but it's around that.
