hi there, im going for a consult with Dr. Fuentes, how was the recovery? Did you stay overnight or did you go home the same day as surgery?
Hey! Oh nice! Recovery wasn't too bad. I would say pain was about a 1 on a scale of 1-10, it was mostly just uncomfortable. It basically felt like a really bad cold because your throat will hurt (because of the oxygen tube that goes in it during surgery) , your nose will be super stuffy, and you won't be able to breathe out of it. But besides being uncomfortable recovery went well. Make sure to make jello and have yogurts for the first days after surgery since it might be hard for you to eat(open up your mouth) I didn't stay overnight since I live in Chula Vista which is a 30 min drive or less to the clinic. I just had my parents drive me. But if you are coming from a little farther then I definitely recommend you to stay in the recovery boutique that they have there at CosMed. I think its on the 3rd floor and CosMed is on the 4th but yea it looks really nice and they have nurses there. Hope this helped!:)
Thanks for the reply! How did you prepare for the surgery? Did you buy any supplements, ointments, etc to help with pain/bruising/comfort? :)
Yea no prob! I started preparing for surgery about 3 weeks before. There is some instructions you have to follow like avoid eating certain foods and stuff like that(they will give you the list once you book surgery). As for after surgery i bought arnica pills to help with bruising and just made sure to ice a lottt the first 3 days. I bought frozen peas and put them in a glove that way it molded better to my face. I also bought pain meds but didn't even end up taking any because i had no pain. Make sure you buy nasal spray! I didn't buy any until my 8th day post op and it really helped, I wished I would have known to buy it before surgery.
the front view is still swollen i guess?
I would say about 60% of swelling had gone down in that picture. But yea final results aren't seen until about a year i think
Wow stunning!
Thanks!^.^
Your nose looks so cute! Very nice.
Thanks!(:
Gorgeous results!
Thank you!:))

Thanks!:)
beautiful results! can you post a front view?
Yea ille post right now
Hi I see the procedure costed you $2,600. Besides that, how much did you have to spend on travel, stay, doctor visits and etc.?:)
Hi! I live about 30 minutes from the clinic so I really didn't spend anything on travel besides the gas and I came back home the same day. But I did have to buy pain meds (which I didn't even take) and anti infection meds, and I bought some arnica pills and nasal spray so I would say that all added up to about $100
ORIGINAL POST

I had been wanting a nose job since High School...

I had been wanting a nose job since High School but it’s so expensive in the U.S! I live in San Diego so going to Tijuana was always an option. I found CosMed through a friend who had a nose job with Dr. Fuentes and loved it. The facility is beautiful and all the CosMed team is super professional and helpful. I had my surgery in August with Dr. Juan Carlos Fuentes and couldn't be happier! He listened to all my questions and concerns attentively and really helped me feel confident about the procedure. Even though the facility is in TJ, I got the best care for about half the price of what I would had paid in the U.S.

I had the large dorsal hump removed in order to make my nose profile straight and the width of my nose was also reduced. I am now almost three months post op and love my new nose! I would definately recommend CosMed and Dr. Juan Carlos Fuentes to anyone!

Your results are absolutely fabulous! Thank you so much for sharing. Did you stay at a recovery house there or come right home after surgery?
Thanks so much! No I went home right after surgery since I only live about 30 minutes from the facility. I did take a tour of the Recovery Boutique though and it looked super nice, definitely recommend anyone who's is traveling from far away to stay there.
jncio looks lovely,, how did they tell you about pricing?
Thanks! I had a consultation and they gave me the pricing estimate right after. I guess it just depends on the patient and what they need/want to get done in order to get the nose shape that they ask for.
how about a followup post? i'd be interested in seeing how it looks now that more of the swelling has gone away. thank you
Hi! Yea I will add some pictures right now
I live 2 hrs away from Tj but my question is how far into tj is his office and how many times did you have to go over there?? thanks
Sorry for the late response(didn't see the email notification). His office is about 15 minutes or less after crossing the border so not bad at all. I believe I went over six times; once for the initial consultation, the second time once I had made up my mind about having the surgery, third was surgery day, fourth was cast removal and tape application, fifth was the one month check up, and I don't remember exactly but I think I went for a two month check up as well. Hope this helps!
Wowzers he did an amazing job it looks natural!
Thanks!:D
