Day 3
I woke up yesterday morning with more swelling than the first day I got it done....face was sore in some places. The worst part was swelling around and under my eyes but I had to go to work so I put on some shades and masked up but the swelling began to subside as the day went on (though I continued look like I'd been in a fight and lost).
TODAY I woke up with the same swollen places but that went down much faster but now I see light bruising under both eyes.
Despite all that, Im starting to recognize the face in the mirror, though I havent seen her in years.....
Im really glad I got this done.

Just because Im 59 doesnt mean I have to look like it and since I take God's promises LITERALLY--I decided to have the PDA Threadlift. My nose was going south and I had the beginning formations of jowls....I just couldnt take it. I was researching fillers for the nasolabial folds and somehow stumbled across threadlifts.
The nearest doctor was over 160 miles away but I didnt care. I looked at her before/afters and did my due diligence as far as searching for any negative reviews and finding none--booked my appointment right away.
Side note: I don't do a lot of highway driving because Im always afraid I'll have to take one of the "highways into the sky" loops to get to my destination--thankfully, that was not the case.
The facility is beautiful. Artfully decorated and immaculate....extremely professional--yet welcoming at the same time and it was Dr Mikkilineni, who greeted me herself. During the consultation she educated me on the procedure and answered ALL of my questions.
She let me know what to expect every step of the way.
I experienced some anxiety when she was doing my nose because you can hear (but not feel) the threads traveling to the point of insertion but just as quickly as it started--it was over.
The jowl area was a bit more complicated. She used lidocaine to anesthetize my jaw as much as she could but honestly, even my dentist has to refer me out to an oral surgeon for some procedures
After the procedure was done, I could definitely see some swelling and what appears to be dimpling but I can tell its going to be beautiful--very shortly.
In my opinion, I look about 20 years younger.
Sleeping the first night was a bit of a challenge but once I'd propped myself up to a "watching tv in bed" position, I had no issues.
Because of my issues with anesthesia and pain management, I wouldnt describe the procedure as completely painfree but I definitely think the benefits far outweigh those few (and brief) painful moments.
