Post op Week 11 with amazing results!

Hello again! Sorry for the long delay before this update. In the first couple weeks, the shape morphed every other day and so did my feelings on it. I think it helped to remember that they are just that, only feelings, and it’s better if the whirlpool of emotions can be placed aside so we can have the patience to allow the nose to heal. I have bumped it so many times, the first time less than a week after cast off to just yesterday on the left side (which is why the left nostril is more swollen and less defined than the right). I feel like there is very little that can ruin the results once I cleared the first couple week period. During that time I put protein powder in my morning smoothies to try to speed up the healing process and reduce inflammation, but I don’t know how helpful that actually was. I’m due to go in for my second post op in early September. Again sorry for being away for so long but I will answer all questions I get now.

Cast off! Post op day 7

Today Dr. Grigoryants took my cast off! Even now, with all the swelling and residual bruising, he gave me everything I wanted and so much more. How he managed to craft my nose this way when I had such thick skin, a deviated septum, droopy tip, and wide bridge is nothing short of a miracle and if he can achieve this new nose with what I had before, I’m sure he could do simpler noses with his eyes closed. I am so happy and grateful with my results, despite how early, and I’m sure it’s only going to improve from here on out. Apart from around my nose, there is a lot of swelling around my eyes, between them where they pull down the inner corners, and around my mouth and jaw, stiffening my lips. He said the swelling in my upper nose and radix should go down first, then around my bridge, and lastly the tip. I hope the pictures speak for themselves :)

Post op day 3-6

Day 3 was easier than the day before and everything slowly began to deescalate after. Sleeping was easier, my nose wasn’t as congested and my mouth dried up less. The swelling turned from turgid and solid, to softening up and when I tried, I could push it around. The bruising also faded to brown and now yellow. I don’t know how much the arnica helped, but there should have been more bruising and swelling for all the work he did. If you have any questions I promise to answer them :)
