Dr. G. is exceptional! A truly gifted surgeon and artist, he is widely regarded as one of the most talented cosmetic surgeons in the world and rightfully so. Beyond his skill, he is kind, honest, and will set realistic expectations. His goal is always to give natural, elegant results--and he delivers. He performed a neck lift and facelift on me. I'm 56, and while aging is a privilege, I wasn't quite ready for the sagging and wrinkles I was getting. I could not be happier with the results!
I've wanted a nose job since I was 12. I used to be embarrassed to show my profile. Now I can let my profile be seen and not feel ashamed. I am so happy with new nose. He is such an artist!!! He will create the nose of your dreams <3
I am officially one week post op from my rhinoplasty with Dr Grigoryants & I could not recommend a better surgeon. My results are already so amazing & I had such minimal pain and the easiest recovery possible for this type of surgery, my nose already looks a million times better.
My closed Rhinoplasty journey has been the best decision I have made. I've waited years++ to get this and I finally felt the courage to schedule the Pre-Op Appointment. This was something so personal for me and meeting Dr. Grigoryants made me feel very comfortable and at ease with this decision. At first glance, he knew exactly what I desired and needed for my nose. My complete trust was with him and his expertise practice. **I did not show him any inspiration/wish pictures** My healing journey was painless. I have many pictures of the process with the cast, but here are my current "results" only 1 month Post Op.
So it took me probably a decade too decide on a rhinoplasty since I know it's the center of my face and of it went wrong I know it would be terrible thing to go through. I reached out to the office 3 years ago, but chickened out ....Fast forward 2022 I finally made my mind up to book a surgery date for January 2023. This time I felt more confident in my decisions since Dr.Grygoriants worked on one of my clients. Referrals to me are more reliable than random reviews of people I don't know and have never seen. I wanted to do a virtual consultation because I'm from out of town and I just wanted to double check regardless if I lost the consultation money. I wanted too know for sure and get a feel for the doctor. I also work with my own clients and I think consultations say a lot about what kind of person your dealing with , professionalism , knowledge etc. I of course read some negative reviews online scared the crap out of me, there's crazy things dedicated too bashing him and his practice on ig and YouTube. I also work in the beauty industry and I know You can't win them all and nothing is always perfect. Also knowing that surgeons can try their best and sometimes our body just doesn't heal correctly , that's something people need to be aware of. I read a bunch facts and forums & looked at the percentages of failed rhinoplasties and that's across the board 5-10%. There's always a chance in any surgery that it won't be successful. I did my own research of reaching out to people individually who got their nose done by him online to see what their experience was. They all had positive things too say. So the virtual consultation went very well. He answered all my questions and was super transparent with me which I appreciate because I know you have to really be realistic & transparent with people or else that's when problems arise. I can tell he was very knowledgeable, I honestly had no idea what needed to be done so I left it up mostly to his professional opinion. The only thing that bothered me was my tip and flared nostrils; anything else that had to be altered to create better symmetry was up to him. I think it is super important when going into anything that will alter how you look to be already happy with yourself and come from a place of love, not hate so you mentally can go through the healing process. It's not easy seeing yourself look different when you have had the same face for decades. I flew In and had my Pre opp appointment. He was diligent and fast in that consultation. Told me I couldn't breath clearly form both nostrils he would fix that as well. So flared nostrils, bump on nose , shave the side, make bridge on top wider on top to match the rest of my nose, support my tip and give me a slight slope. Next day had surgery appointment at 5:30am. Thank god it was early and I could barely think before I went into anesthesia. The staff was great in surgical facility! When I woke up from surgery I definitely felt terrible. For about 3-4 days I needed to take the narcos because I was in so much pain and then I switched to Tylenol. Not being able to breath through my nose for 6 days was also intense and all the mucus felt gross. 6 days after had my splints, stitches and cast taken off. Was a huge relief! I really liked my nose right away even if it was so swollen! He did everything I asked and I could tell right away , I didn't swell as much as other people. I still look like a chipmunk and I am very sensitive and swollen, but it looks great so far! I Do wish he spent a little more time on explaining post opp things, but there's also a piece of paper they will give out that gives you play by play what too expect after and what needs to be done. All in all I'm keep you guys posted , but so far I'm extremely satisfied! I was worth the pain lol Updated on 22 Jan 2023: Every day it’s reducing in swelling I’m making sure I’m taping, drinking pineapple juice, water and arnica pills every morning! Also you absolutely need saline water too clean the boogies out your nose( get a couple cans)! Lots of qtips and a soft gauze too clean so your nose doesn’t get irritated. Dry Mouth spay will be your life saver right after recovery and on…. Chapstick you will need at all times! I’ll update again in a month! Updated on 2 Mar 2023: Healing really nicely still swollen and tender but looks great and no one can tell I got a nose job so that is amazing!
As I used this site to do my research to find a doctor I wanted to share my experience hoping it will help someone else. Everything went really well with my surgery and Dr. G was great. When I went in for my consult he told me what he would do to improve my nose, and it was what I was already thinking so I trusted him and went with it. He answered all my questions and I felt comfortable going with him. Surgery was smooth all of the nurses at the surgery center were so sweet. I was in and out super fast. I woke up in the PACU in a good amount of pain, but they gave me some pain meds through the IV and I felt better. Not gonna lie, the first 3 days were rough. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be with the pain, I took my meds around the clock. It was more discomfort not being able to breath through my nose and feeling extremely congested was hard. But on day 4 I turned a corner and was totally fine, the rest of the recovery was All smooth sailing! It’s worth it it was nothing I couldn’t power through with some rest and meds. Will contine to update this but yesterday I got the cast off! I could immediately Breath so much better. Swelling is pretty bad in the front but the side looks AMAZING. Doctor G is truly an artist. If you’re looking for a cute side profile you won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait to see it with less swelling I’m surprised it already looks so good. My tip used to droop which was my biggest insecurity and it’s so perfect now. He’s the best out there! Updated on 8 Dec 2022: Just adding some more pictures here of before and after for some reason the original post only included 2. I’ll add some more further along post op once the swelling has gone down! But absolutely loving the side profile and happy my biggest insecurity has been fixed Updated on 24 Dec 2022: Honestly better every day!! I love my nose so much. Everything has been super uncomplicated and I’m really starting to feel like myself again. I feel way more confident so worth it and so happy. Still can see some swelling but it’s going away very quickly and 3 weeks in no one can even tell Updated on 5 Jan 2023: My nose is so perfect and I love it so much! Honestly I admire it every day. Dr G delivered in exactly what I have always envisioned for my nose. No complications so far and can breathe better than ever
This was monumental moment for me and I didn't really use another person as inspiration just the couple photos I had edited of myself previously. I have unlocked a new level of confidence now and it's amazing!
Just got done with my surgery a few hours ago! Super congested it's hard to sleep. My eyes also keep tearing but no pain at all! Had a headache earlier but just popped a few Tylenol and it's much better now. I haven't taken any pain medication provided to me bc I've heard of nausea :/ so Tylenol is good for me so far. Will keep updating ! My eyes were already purple out of surgery and just started swelling but I've been icing it and it feels better :)Updated on 26 Sep 2022: It was sooo hard to sleep, not in pain but so much congestion and pressure on my nose I’ve been having headaches all day. Swelling went down to my cheeks now, but again not too bad! I’ve been taking arnica and drinking lots of pineapple juice. These past 2 days were a little tough, but I get my cast of in 2 days finally!
I am currently 3 weeks post-op and am absolutely loving my nose. I emailed pictures to Dr. Grigoryants in August 2021 for an online consultation. He responded the next day with a detailed description of exactly what he suggested doing to my nose. He suggested shaving the bump, narrowing the width of the bones, bringing the tip closer to my face (deprojecting it) and narrowing the tip. He also recommended reducing the size of my nostrils and opening my airways if necessary. That same day I called and scheduled my pre-op appointment and surgery day which was May 17, 2022. I officially met with Dr. Grigoryants at the end of March where he analyzed my nose in person and told me exactly what he suggested we do. I didn't bring in any inspiration pictures because I trusted his judgment and trusted that he would deliver a nose that perfectly fits my face. The meeting was short and to the point but I never felt rushed or like I was not being listened to. He was very kind and reassuring! After meeting with him I was super confident in my decision to go forward with him as my surgeon. I paid for the surgery the day of my pre-op and the prescriptions were all sent over to my pharmacy that day. On the day of the surgery I was excited and a little nervous. The nurses were all extremely kind and I felt like I was in great hands. I met with the anesthesiologist (who was SO incredibly kind) and let her know ahead of time that I get extremely nauseous and have always thrown up after my previous surgeries. They gave me a patch behind my ear that was supposed to help with nausea. I spoke to Dr. Grigoryants briefly, and then before I knew it I was asleep in the operating room. I woke up feeling a lot of pain but they immediately gave me pain medication. Unfortunately, the patch for nausea did not help and I ended up throwing up blood and anything I tried to eat about 4 times that day. The nurse did reassure me that it was ok to vomit and that it wouldn't interfere with the surgery. The following 2 weeks of recovery were really rough. I felt a lot of pain and pressure on my face and eyes, and surprisingly had a lot of pain in my teeth and throat. I was taking the pain medication consistently every 4ish hours. I had bruising around and on my eyes which ended up dissipating within a week and a ton of facial swelling (all of which was expected). Sleeping at night was the worst part of the healing process. Since I could not breathe through my nose, I woke up constantly every 2ish hours with a completely bone-dry throat, mouth and tongue. I ended up buying a humidifier which helped a little but there's not much you can truly do other than just putting up with it and drinking as much water as possible. The day of the cast removal (6 days post-op) I met with Nurse Natalie who quickly removed all the outside stitches and cast. It was painful but not unbearable. She instructed me on how to tape my nose and then I quickly met with Dr. Grigoryants who looked over my nose and answered any questions I had. I didn't feel great, was nauseous, and felt a lot of pressure on my face until about 2 weeks post-op. I am now 3 weeks post-op and am loving my results. As with anything done by a human, there are bound to be slight imperfections but my nostrils are perfectly symmetrical and my nose is better than I could've ever imagined. I still have a lot of swelling and healing left but so far so good! I still have internal stitches that are slowly coming out, and I'm finally noticing my breathing starting to improve. I clean my nose with saline spray and tape my nose every night religiously. I no longer take Tylenol or anything else for pain. My nose is still really sensitive so I try to not put on face makeup, or use a very light hand if I have to. I plan on updating my review with pictures and any new information as time goes on. Updated on 9 Jun 2022: My nose before! My right side was always my "bad side." I always tried to hide that side of my face and never photographed from that side. I also could barely breathe out of my right nostril, and now 3 weeks post-op I am starting to be able to breathe SO much better. Updated on 7 Mar 2023: I am about 10 months post-op and I couldn't be happier with my results! For the first time in my life I can breathe very well through my nose. There is still some mild sensitivity, stiffness and swelling in the tip but I know that will go away with time. I occasionally will tape my nose at night when I notice it a little more swollen and wake up to the tip more defined, but it's not necessary or something I do daily. Overall, I've had a great 10/10 experience with Dr. Grigoryants and couldn't reccomend him enough.
Simply magnificent! Doctor Grigoryants is an amazing plastic surgeon. I had a rhinoplasty - septoplasty almost 6 years ago and I couldn’t be happier, he did a functional, beautiful, natural nose. Doctor Grigoryants will do a close follow up for the next 3 years after surgery. 2 years after my nose surgery I decided to have a breast reduction with lifting, and of course I went back to Doctor G. because he is the best and I trust him (I wouldn’t have plastic surgery with a different doctor). The results are amazing. 4 years and they look perfect. Oh and I got some fillers too. I am very happy with the results and I would go back to him without any hesitation.
Dear KM, The one smiling phone photo provided is not adequate to make a proper recommendation. The face and nose on your photo are stretched by short focal length camera that was used to the photo. Taking face photos with short lens cameras (and too close) results in the whole face, nose, and eyes appearing wider longer than in real life. This stretching also causes the ears to disappear on the photos. Slight facial/nasal asymmetries may also appear exaggerated due to this distortion. If you are using a small camera or phone camera, you need to step back 6 feet and zoom in to diminish this stretching effect. However, it is best to use a 50mm lens of a DSLR camera to get a real life image (without stretching), which is what is recommended for facial photography. If you do not see your ears on the photo as much as you do in real life, then your nose will look wider and more deformed in the photo than in real life.
This is what usually happens when the nose is broken: 1. Swelling and bruising around the nose and/or around the eye(s). 2. Possible nose bleed. 3. New nasal deviation/asymmetry after swelling has subsided ( a change in shape may not be present if the fracture is not displaced). 4. An X ray or CT scan showing a nasal fracture.
I remove nasal splints around day 5 after rhinoplasty. Most patients return to work or school 7-9 days after surgery. Exercises and wearing glasses can be resumed 4 weeks after surgery.
We give the following instructions to our patients after rhinoplasty. These instructions may be modified for each patient depending on what was performed during surgery. First day after surgery: Keep you upper back elevated 30-40 degrees. Apply cold compress (cloth soaked in cold water or crushed ice in a glove placed over a cloth) during the first 24 hours. Facial swelling tends to get worse during the first 3 days after surgery and improves by the fifth day after surgery. Starting day 3 : Start cleaning the bottom of the nose gently using cotton balls or facial tissue soaked in warm water. Apply Vaseline on the rims of the nostrils once a day. Day 5-7: I remove your splints and sutures if nostrils were narrowed. Having the nostrils lubricated with vaseline prior to the appointment will make suture removal less uncomfortable. I do not use nasal packing. We will teach you how to tape your nose only at night and clean the nose. Avoid alcohol and blood thinners (aspirin, motrin, advil, excedrin, naproxen, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil, omega 3 fatty acids, herbal supplements ) for 2 weeks after surgery. Showers, make up, facial creams can be restarted. Nose blowing: Can be started gently 2 weeks after surgery. Driving: You may drive when facial swelling is not impairing vision and you are no longer taking pain medications. Exercises: Avoid bending for 2 weeks after surgery. Exercises can be resumed 1 month after surgery. Swimming: Swimming with submerging head in the water can be started 2 months after surgery. Sun exposure: You may be in the sun but avoid prolonged exposure. Use a hat to protect your nose. Pore strips: May be resumed 3 months after surgery. Unpleasant smell in the nose: May occur in some patients after rhinoplasty and will go away over time. Stiff upper lip and smile: Usually resolves by 2-3 months after surgery. Flying on airplanes: You may fly 7 days after surgery. Most patient return to work or school 7-9 days after surgery.
The price varies geographically and depends on surgery complexity, duration, and surgeon's practice. Revision rhinoplasty tends to be more expensive. Although the price is an important factor in selecting a surgeon, it is more important to ensure that your surgeon specializes in rhinoplasty, able to perform both cosmetic and functional aspects of rhinoplasty, performs this surgery frequently, and has numerous before and after photos.
