2nd Thermiva treatment completed
So I had my second treatment with Liz and this time I had no period right after which I was so happy about. I did mention this to Liz at my second treatment and she did say this could happen. Anyway Liz said after this 2nd treatment 75% of her clients noticed the most difference usually around the time they are set to come back for the 3rd treatment. It's been a little over a week and so far I've noticed a difference in the tightening and also the outside appearance, my outer lips look smaller compared to what they use to look like. My husband also said he can tell the difference. I have no leaking at all while working out; I still feel the urge but absolutely no leaking. I'm happy with my results so far and will come back and update again after the third treatment. There was no pain or discomfort at all. Liz was awesome as always and makes you feel very comfortable and my session went by so fast because talking to her is like talking with a friend.
Thermiva One Treatment Detailed Review
When I decided to try the Thermiva procedure I set out to read as much information on it as possible and as many reviews from others that already had it done. It was disappointing that a lot of people will leave an initial review but never come back and update us on how the final result was or if it actually helped them fix their issues. So I’m going to leave the best review as possible and make sure I come back after every treatment and let you know how it’s working for me or not. Please know this is my experience and everyone will have their own, so do your own research, read as many reviews as possible and check the reviews on the doctor’s office/spa you decide to use for your procedure. Here we go….
A little about myself, I’m 47, and have given birth to 5 daughters. My main reason for wanting this procedure is for laxity issues and the past year I started to notice that I’m starting to have stress incontinence issues when I jump around and exercise. Also I would like to feel more friction when being intimate with my husband. I don’t have any issues with painful sex, or dryness. Moisture has never been an issue.
After searching many places and reading reviews I decided to choose Total Dermatology in Irvine, Ca. I knew what I wanted so when I booked my appointment I also booked to have the procedure done the same day. Please note that you will have to give them a $100 consultation fee to book the appointment, it’s used towards the procedure. So first impression of the office, very nice and elegant, staff is also very nice. I had my consultation with a staff member and I can’t for the life of me remember her name but she was very nice and very informative of the procedure. The actual doctor did pop in and introduce himself to me during my consultation for a quick minute or two and gave me a super fast breakdown of the Thermiva procedure. I was like a meet and greet when you go to meet a movie star…Lol
I already knew my procedure was going to be done by an RN and I was cool with that. Her name was Liz and she was super cool, talkative and made you feel very comfortable during the procedure. She listened to my concerns and issues I was having and focused the procedure around that information.
This procedure was completely painless!!! I didn’t feel any pain or burning at all. You can feel the warmth but its warm not hot. It feels like a warm massage on the inside and outside, you kind of have to use your imagination on this part it is a little difficult to explain but overall it was comfortable and the wand is moved around so it doesn’t remain in the same place for long. I also did feel a pressure sensation towards the end when the procedure was being performed internally.
I had my procedure done on a Thursday afternoon. Everything was great and the very next day I started my period, not sure if this was a coincidence or did the procedure trigger me to start. I only mention this because I’m pre-menopausal and my period is very irregular. This was one of the worse periods I have ever had. The cramping was intense and super bad, the bleeding was super heavy with clots (sorry if that is graphic) I felt at times like my insides were going to fall out if I moved wrong. It lasted five days, three of which were super bad. I continued to have mild cramping after that for a couple of days and also light brown discharge that lasted three or four more days. Again I have never had a period in my life like this so I felt it was important to mention it and when I go back for my second procedure I will mention this to Liz as well. She did tell me sometimes the wand might tap the cervix and cause spotting, so who knows…
So a week after the procedure and after the heavy period I was able to be intimate with my husband for the first time and honestly I couldn’t tell a difference but he said that he could tell a small difference. I know he wouldn’t lie cause he’s the one to tell you like it is if it hurts your feelings or not. Also I forgot to mention that I didn’t notice any difference at all with the exterior look either. That same day I also decided to workout for the first time and although I know I was holding my bladder at times when I started to jump, I didn’t leak at all!!! When I jumped in my previous workouts I would just start to leak out. So during the rest of the workout I stopped focusing on it and just let it be to see what happened and even though I felt the urge to go I didn’t leak.
Going back for my second treatment at the end of the month and I promise I will come back and keep you updated. Feel free to ask any questions, I will try and answer them the best I can.
