Thermitight W/ Micro Lipo - So Far WORTH IT

I’m 38 years old. Always hated my side profile and due to weight loss my neck was starting to gobble. Regardless, I have always envied women with nicer side profiles so I decided to do what I could with my genetics and the little bit of money I had. I went in for a consult for lipo and I wasn’t a candidate due to the loose skin that formed, Ultherapy wouldn’t do enough for the fat and I heard that hurts and I didn’t want any narcotics so I kept researching and found Thermitight.. I went in to meet with Dr. Groff and I really liked him so I booked for the following week. Proceedure was weird but painless, after the novacaine wore off there was some pain but nothing too bad. Next day (today) I went in for my follow up and I’m really enjoying the results so far. One side of my neck is a bit different from the other so I’m going to have to keep my eye on that but so far all seems well. Let me know if you have any questions! I’m around

Hi. I was wondering how you are liking the thermitight so far? Is your swelling going down?
March 28, 2019
It changed from day to day. There is swelling in my neck still and some lumps that I have to ask the Dr. about. It's two weeks tomorrow so I though maybe the swelling would be gone. I'll keep you posted

You are looking great, Birdie! Bravo to you for taking care of something that bothered you while you are young and able to enjoy your results now and not when you have lived regretting not have done it sooner. So happy for you!

Could this be the residual of eating a lot of salty foods? When the tissues are healing, they seem to be subject to random swelling. What did your doctor recommend?

3 weeks post thermi

I'm almost to 3 weeks. I still feel sore in some areas still but I'm not sure if I'm swollen (I actually am hoping that I still am swollen). I have lumps under the skin that feel like maybe lymph nodes and feel bruised but I have no idea what they are so I have to ask my Dr. I have a weird spot directly under my chin that is making me a bit nervous. It's almost an indent of sorts coupled with some crepy skin a bit lower so, I want to talk to the Dr. about it. I have a feeling the weird area wont go away with time unless it tightens dramatically but I don't see how it will. ughh... I might have to change my review to not sure or not worth it depending on what happens.. My side profile looks good but my front isnt looking that great and at least I didn't have to see my side profile like I have to see my face. I'm just trying to remain calm and give it more time since it's only been 3 weeks. I will update after speaking to my Doctor and keep you all posted.

I do think it’s too early for you to know if this was worth it or not. At just over two weeks, your skin is still reacting to the “injury” caused by the Thermi.
Hang in and give it at least another month, if not longer.
I’ve had this procedure done twice on my belly with no improvement at all. It cost just under $4000, and with my doctor agreeing that it had made no improvement, I really just want a refund.
Be careful about posting reviews that say it’s been worth it before you’ve had a chance to heal and assess the real (or nonexistent) changes.
Good luck. For your sake, I hope this works for you.

Can you look at my updated photos? Im not sure that it can improve but yeah, stomachs and faces are much different. It really helped my side profile but my front is EFFED... I hope you're right about it being early because if not Im never leaving the house and I have no more money to fix anything..if there is even a way to fix it. Thankfully i can change my worth it/ not worth it status at anytime :)

It’s really difficult to say without a before picture of your neck from that angle.
You’re right that there is some improvement from the sides, but it’s still too early to know what the final result will be.
I know it’s such a hard thing to hear, and to do, but you’re going to have to wait another month at least.
In the meantime, I’d be calling that doctors office and insisting on being seen. I did not insist strongly enough (for a different procedure and one I also regret very much, that could have been helped had my doctor taken me seriously and seen me.
Show up in person if need be. Be polite but firm.
Your neck is not so bad that you cannot go out in public, though I do relate to your outrage and upset. It will always look like the most glaring thing to you, but it’s nit your face, and as such, it does not affect how peoplecsee you, unless they’re looking for something. Try to be calm and patient, but I The meantime, insist on being taken seriously and seeing that surgeon. I’m sorry too that you’ve had some upsetting results. It’s oossibke that things will improve because you are still very early in the healing process. I hope that helps. You are not the freak show that you think right now.

not looking good
Birdie5000April 5, 2019
I updating my review to not worth it. My side profile looks fine but unfortunately I sacrificed my front view which we all know is most important. I don't even want to leave the house anymore at this point. I wake up every morning hoping that there will be some improvement but it seems to be looking worse. I'm not sure what to do next. I have the neck of a 60 year old now ( no offense to 60 year olds but i'm in my 30's). It's been 3 weeks so i'll update if anything changes but right now im STRESSING and depressed. I have a follow up appointment on Monday so I'll let you know how that goes.

I’m sorry your result wasn’t hat you’d envisioned. That is disappointing considering how much you spent and how young you are. Good luck.

Give it time! I was so disappointed after a month. Felt like I wasted my money and ruined my jawline - probably residual swelling. For me, it took over two months to see any real results and now, a year later, it looks great!
May 17, 2019
Do you have any photo's i can see because Im almost to 3 months and it's not doing much.
April 12, 2019
I have that to under my neck but it want caused by the thermitight in my case.. it was when I had my neck liposuction last spring in 2018.. it apparently can make your neck bands more noticeable after neck liposuction in certain unlucky people like me.. I think I’ll need to have it surgically corrected..it only bothers me when I stretch my neck back, so I’ve postponed doing it up to this point. As far as my thermitight treatment I still haven’t seen any noticeable tightening yet, I’m 6 weeks post op. What did your doctor say at your follow up?
April 13, 2019
He said I still have swelling but what does that have to do with those ugly band stuff and Crepey skin. It’s driving me absolutely nuts!! 4 weeks out and no improvement. He says to come back in another 4. Ughh wishing I never did this at this point, I should have just done a next lift of some sort. I’m sooo depressed. I really hope it changes soon. I don’t even want to see people I know as it’s honestly getting worse and not better. :(
Thank you for sharing your review with the RealSelf community! Glad you're enjoying your initial results!
