I have 2 boys, ages 23 and 16. I've been saying for years that I wanted a tummy tuck. I am very active. I exercise 5 day a week. Due to my exercise habit, I lost 25 pounds, and that made my skin problem on my tummy worse. So, finally, I decided, along with my hubby, to go ahead and get it done. There is something to be said about being in top health when having this surgery. So, far(I'm 1 week post op) my recovery has been uneventful. I'm really excited to see my end result!

Is there a reason why the incision is so high? Seems like it should be down lower??

Mine is a tad higher because all of my extra skin was below my navel. I had no extra skin above, hence, nothing to pull down. The scar will drop some when swelling goes down, and when healed and faded, my panties and bathing suit bottoms still cover. I was given the option to have it lower, but with a verticle incision from my navel, and I didn't want that.

OH I see ...well that makes sense! So how are you feeling now...?? How's your recovery going??

I am feeling fantastic. I have had zero pain, and my swelling is minimal. I wear a compression corsette most of the day, a compression wrap while sleeping. I also drink a gallon of lemon water every day. I'm up and about. I'm able to cook for my family, and have been doing light house hold chores and I'm not even 2 weeks post op. Not sure how I've bounced back so quickly, but I'll take it.

whats a pain ball?

It's a rubber ball full of local anesthetic. It had 2 tubes going into my abdomen and it kept my abdomen numb for an entire week. I had zero pain.

It's called the On-Q pain relief system, and it is awesome!
