Post 4 Month

It's been some time since I have posted. So I thought I will update you on my progress.

My 'dog ears' are still prominent, and I have loose skin around my hips, lower stomach and below the incision line. I literally can grab bunches of skin when I sit down. I've included a photo to gross you out.

I haven't lost of gained any weight and I have read that after a TT, this should definitely not be possible! Don't get me wrong, there are parts of my TT that I love, such as my upper torso and belly button etc, but the other issues are quite distressing. If I wasn't such a hermit these days I would have complained earlier.

Anywho, I've sent an email off to Dr. Pomee to see how he responds to these issues. I'm expecting a brush off and a 'you need to wait 12 months'. The reality is that I will need to have surgery again and fork over more money. Next time it will be in Australia.

Update

Hi all,

I've been lazy and haven't been back on here for awhile. The scars have healed wonderfully, and I must admit he was very skilled in this area.

I still have dog ears on both sides, so I will have to have these fixed later on. I still have excess skin below my incision line (pubis) , so again, I think I'll need a TT revision to combat both issues.

If you're going to have the procedure, make sure you ask about where the incision line will be placed, and how this will affect the contouring of your body. I needed a longer incision line (which I didn't have), due to my excess skin, If this was done, it would have reduced the dog ears issue and created a better contour of my hips.

After spending near $20 grand, it's disappointing knowing that I'll have to pay this again to get the result I wanted.

Though, in saying all that....I do like my stomach, my belly button is fantastic. My breasts look really natural and they sit nicely. I've got some weight to lose, so hopefully my breast don't look like empty sacks afterwards!! Eeeek.

Don't be discouraged about what I've mentioned, as we are all different. I just think that we need as much info as possible before taking the big step. Especially as we are paying for it.

Second post op review

I had another consult on Monday with Dr Poomee to remove the stitches. He's very gentle, so there was relatively no pain at all. A little tinge once or twice on my breasts, and that was it. Stomach is still numb, so I can't feel anything anyway. Stitches and scars are healing nicely, the TT incision is very neat and thin. Slight bruising around the areas lipo suctioned and there is swelling in the lower abdomen area. I'm super happy about my belly button, as I hated my old one and stomach!

My breasts are sitting quite high, and are very swollen still, with bruising. It will take awhile for them to settle, so I'm hoping that I still look full and they sit at the same height. I'm glad that I didn't get implants, though again, I'll wait to see the end result. It looks promising.

I was going to ask Dr Poomee about the slight dog ear, but he has requested for me to have one more consult before I fly home, so I will ask then. I did ask his wife, and she stated that due to the amount of skin, it was hard to not have a little dog ear. In saying that, it's only quite slight. If it doesn't go away, I will get a revision in about a year. I'll query him on Friday properly, though he doesn't go into long in depth explanations and I'm guessing he will just tell me that it will go down in time. I've read many review and looked at pictures, and rarely the dog ears go away if there is extra skin. Most have either had to deal with it or have had another operation to correct it. I've probably mentioned this in the last post anyway, and my partner stated that I'm obsessing over this!! Anyway.....I'll try not to.

I've laxed on the diet/working out prior to the op, as I've been on a long holiday and slacked off. I know that once I'm able, I'm going to be hitting the gym again 5 days a week. I was going really well before going on holidays and lost about 15 kgs.

I will upload some better pictures on Friday which will be near two weeks post op.
