Overall rating

I had an explant, lift and nipple relocation, and fat transfer. The whole process was impressive. The contrast between my previous UIK-based surgeon who originally put my implants in and Dr Horndeski was marked. Everything in Houston was planned and carefully worked out. In the pre-op room, for instance, a computerised model of my breasts and the operation was constructed from measurements taken via sophisticated equipment. I found the nurses are exemplary and ready to answer any questions. Dr Horndeski is a professional and experienced surgeon with a clever and impressive self-devised surgical technique for lifting the breasts. I travelled from the UK and the trip was coordinated by Dr Horndeski's office who are efficient and friendly. I am very pleased with the results so far (I'm three weeks post-op) and it has boosted my body confidence greatly. My breasts seem to be healing at different rates, which I'm told is not unusual - perhaps something to do with handedness and unequal muscle tone? Post-operatively, my breasts have not really been painful. Instead, the fat transfer from the top of my thigh has been the issue in terms of pain (I had 100 ml taken from on top of the muscle of each thigh). The entry site of the cannula healed quickly, but inevitably there is inflammation and bruising from tissue damage that has to heal, but I am still functioning normally and working. The nurses/overnight carers that Dr Horndeski's team use to stay with patients at the hotel are exceptional. Lovely, lovely women. I felt so cared for! If I had more money I would have left them extra. I may have to have more fat transferred as I have little breast fat of my own and the transferred fat will not all survive (about 60% Dr Horndeski mentioned). I can feel the support structure (cone) that Dr Horndeski has crafted through my skin already (particularly on the right) and I may require further fat transfer here in the UK. This was unavoidable really.
